I imagine as long as you made space for twf that it would be a worthwhile investment.
If this idea seems potent to anybody else I think discussion is warrented.

I think the flame blades that come from the active past live do scale up with character level. And the purpose at least for a monk build is that those flame blades do not uncenter a monk... and it's the best crit profile weapon in that category.
Dropping stunning fist on a pure monk is bad tho, using the scimmies only for boss fights could be ok, but then quite some bosses are fire immune as well.
On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero
Yes, i'm french and i do eat frogs alive, so don't mess with me when i'm hungry

I believe the fire scimitars' base damage is untyped. I believe I was hitting slimes with the base damage of my sword, although not getting the secondary effects such as flaming. I will check to make sure that it is not merely outside damage, however I am adamant I was striking the slimes, and report back soon.
i'm pretty sure the base damage is still considered flame, aside from the flame of the bonus effects. but i haven't used the flame swords since a dozen lvls ago.
edit: the wiki has this to say about the past life feat...
You recall more about your past life as a druid. You have +2 to all elemental resistances and can cast the flame blade spell three times per rest, which summons a scimitar of fire that does fire damage instead of slashing damage, and uses the wielder's Wisdom instead of Strength for determining attack and damage bonuses. You can choose to summon one or two scimitars, and the swords are automatically equipped when created. At caster level 1, it has a +1 enhancement bonus and the flaming effect. Every five caster levels the summoned swords improve.)
so fire damage instead of slashing for the base damage.
