Default Please address the Druid wolf form running animation.

EDIT: Oops, the tittle should have been: Please address the Druid wolf form running attack animation.

Right now the animation takes extremely long to finish, you can almost finish a whole normal attack chain by the time the running animation finishes which is pretty ridiculous. This makes running into an enemy and attacking them a horrible idea as you have to wait for the running animation to finish to go into the normal attack, there are a few work around to this but those should not be required to get past the animation. In a game that encourages so much mobility this is pretty horrible, please address and speed up or just change the running animation sometimes before the world ends in 2012, thanks.

never noticed it, but was not looking.
However anything to smooth out and improve animations gets my vote.

Default Running combat animations should be #1 priority

The length of the running attack animations really cuts into your DPS and makes combat gameplay in-form pretty terrible. Even more annoying is that they don't even have a sound effect so you don't know when (or if) they trigger. If you have some latency (like us Euros), just the simple task of killing boxes becomes a real chore as you to time it just right when you run by. This is the #1 problem with the druid class right now imo (even though there are tons of other bugs also).

    agreed
the attack animations for animal forms are so sluggish it feels really bad to attack in said forms
    way to much long pauses
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"

I have to agree that so far this is the most annoying problem with the druid, even destroying boxes is annoying and feels unresponsive and I live in the USA(east time zone) so its not lag related. Hopefully a DDO dev has noticed how horrible the animation is and decide to fix this up for patch 2. I think submitting a bug report on this isn't out of the question, as while it isn't buggy, I highly doubt they intended the animation to be so sluggish.

    +1

I always lead off with Takedown because that's the only attack option I have that I can trigger on the move and actually have it land before the mob strolls casually past me.
Bronies: For those who get it, no explanation is needed; for those who don't, none will do.

I always though something with the timing was off on and unresponsive on my druid, this might be it. +1 Maybe if someone could put up a youtube video like we had for the attack delay back then that would further our cause.

Please do it! Try attacking the attack dummy while running and then auto attacking so people can see how atrocious it is. I think the devs know how bad it is as I doubt people in beta did not report it, but if it gets more attention then hopefully it will be adressed in a timely fashion.

On the release notes it says that some form animations are being fixed, hopefully that means the running attack animation while in form got fixed.

The Attack animation while running in wolf form is much much better now, I no longer loose like 5 attacks when I attack an enemy while running into him, good job!
