Question Archer's Focus and Sneak Attack

Does archer's focus affect sneak attack?
I'm still new at this "helping" stuff.

Based on what? Damage Boost and Versatility: Damage both affect Sneak Attack so I thought there was a decent chance that Archers Focus would affect Sneak Attack. I'm also wondering about Relentless Fury.

I'd need solid evidence before I was convinced one way or another.

    It's affected.
Just tested it, I have 4d6 sneak attack on my lvl 17 monkcher, so sneak attack rolls are either 4,8,12,16,20 or 24.
Got archers focus to tier 4 (+20%) and first hit I got had a sneak attack hit of 14. If it wasn't affected archers focus, that wouldve been impossible (probably rolled a 12, and 12*20% from archers focus = 14.4, rounded to 14).

Ahh, 14 is the average outcome of 4d6. 4-24 means 4-24, the exact rolls might have been 3, 3, 4, 4 for instance.

In the case of Damage Boost and helpless state the additional sneak attack is actually added to the first number damage. This makes it harder to observe but you can do so by testing with a shuriken, lump of coal or other low base damage weapon.

I've yet to specifically test it, but I've seen sneak dice in the 50s and 60s range on my pure half elf arti with the shadowdancer destiny. next time I have a day off I'll play around with it some more and jot down some actual data

The extra damage might not be in the actual sneak number. I think the helpless boost to sneak attack is in the physical damage number instead of the sneak number for some reason.

Yep, but as added further down the extra damage is added to your mainhand number, not your sneak attack number for some weird reason.

eh, always thought the game rolled a d6 then multiplied it by 4 for some reason. so much for that idea.

No worries, I might drag a guildy into the pit to check this by equipping a shuriken in water stance naked for 2d2+2 damage I think and see if I can get higher numbers than 6 while sneak attacking.

I actually tried that, thrown weapons don't seem to work with archer's focus (the damage stance part).

Oh bummer, a generic light repeating crossbow will have to do then.
