Default Fearsome Invulnerability, add a bonus to SP suggestion

What I always wondered about this ability: Why doesn't it give some Spell Power? And a big one also. Right now, this is just for those "Oh ****" moment or when you wanna go full out and aggro-tank the whole dungeon on you. IMHO, it's kinda lacking of an offensive, added dps.

I'd propose to give either a 50% SP bonus like Draconic Fury or better a 100%, it lasts just 20 secs and you can get 1 or max and hardly 2 (if the dungeon is long enough - and most unlikely cause you will shrine in the between) per quest. Also, you can't get it for bosses cause you most likely will rest before the end-fight.

Let's see the other Epic moments:
    • Magister: They are the best CC (preventing damage) and their EM is something is better to do their job.
    • FotW, LD: DPS melees, even more dps
    • Shadowdancer: 2d6 damage or more instakill (like assassinate)
    • SC: Another melee, more dps
    • EA: More healing power, some dps
    • US: A nice ability for better tanking.
    • FS: Grim Fate is another buff to the party, Turn of the Tide is dps
    • Draconic incarnation: Burst dps caster, a tanking epic moment?

As it stands right now, I'm thinking to not take this ability at all. It's not bad but I'd rather a 50% boost to SP (100% might be too good) added to the DR.

Ya no joke, this ED is hilarious! Because a tanking sorcerer makes so much sense!

Nullmagic Aura is garbage. If I wanted to, I could say that sorcerers are the best at dealing burst DPS, and so frequently pull massive aggro. As such, Fearsome Invulnerability helps them do their job. If we were to revisit Epic Moments, Magister should be revisited long before Draconic Incarnation. Be glad you have it so good in DI.

Fearsome Invulnerability is a lot better than Nullmagic Aura. Draconic Incarnation is a very, very nice Epic Destiny. It's hands down better than Magister for all content up through Epic Hard, and arguably often better than Magister in Epic Elite content. Magister is so unbelievably lackluster it's hilarious.

Thanks. I've read your thread about DI vs Magister and in no way I'm interested to bring it up here. Keep it to your thread.

Fearsome Invulnerability is utterly ****. Full stop. Where you really want this Epic moment, EE quests, if you aggro more than 3 mobs you are dead with the Epic moment active. Been there, done that, multiple times.

Nowhere I said Nullmagic Aura is good nor bad. I said it reflects what a Wizard is supposed to do: CC and prevent mobs from attacking the party. NAura, being good or bad, does exactly that.

Now, if you are going to ask me, the following Epic moments should be revisited:

DI (Give a SP bonus +50, DR 100/-)
Magister (2x haste radius, 30 secs instead of 20 duration)
Shadowdancer (Oncoming Darkness) (at least 8d6 dmg instead of the 2d6)
EA (reduced charges to 50, can be activated while alive)
US (reduced charges to 50, +1[w] dmg, +100% threat, 30 seconds)
Shiradi (Rain of arrows) (30% chance instead of 10% of 10d100 dmg)

But, this is another whole thread.

Got a level 19 sorc with 1 level of barbarian and yeah it has got tanking potential with the new gear from U16.

Note it is a first lifer an experiment that keeps on surprising me. Will do little write up if it does very well.

Also, does anyone else find it odd that it's an "Epic Moment" which gives dr to everything BUT epic? I mean, if the dr were 100/-, that might be a bit more reasonable, but 100/epic is just silly.

Only a few purple-named bosses bypass DR/epic. Lailat and Velah that I know of.
