Default Feather of Sun, what do you have to say for yourself?

Putting not one, not two, but three My Little Pony references into the raid loot? You sly dog, you.

I believe you meant to put a minus sign in front of that 20%. You can't get much more pathetic than a post puberty pony fan.

If you want really fun stuff...

    • Celestia, Brightest Star of Day - Short Sword: +7, 2.5[1d10], Supreme Good, Radiance, Greater Sunburst, Fiery Detonation [BtC, ML23]
    • Sireth, Spear of the Sky - Quarterstaff: +7, 2.5[1d10] (slash and pierce), Supreme Good, Lightning Strike, Cloudburst, Freedom of Movement, Feather Falling [BtC, ML23]
    • Tinah - Long Sword : +7, 2.5[1d10], Supreme Good, Crushing Wave, Dragon Bane, Underwater Action [BtC, ML23]

There are three potential melee monk items... The Longsword (WSS), Shortsword (Ninja), or Staff... and they all have Supreme Good on which kind of excludes half the monks out there as you must be LG to use them.

And I thought this was just going to be a thread about how none of the raid weapons are half-decent for any build - but instead I got ponies!

I think I'd rather get a pony than any of those raid weapons.

D'uh, UMD? With +5 from epic levels it's easy to have the 32 needed for these weapons.

Even assuming you put enough points into UMD as a monk to max it out, that puts it at 16. You would still need another 16 UMD from items and other effects to be able to equip one of these. That is a lot of work for something that really isn't worth it.

Or whomever made these raid items could attemp to understand the classes in the game and the alignments they're likely to have.

Half? Try like more than that surely.

I mean pre-made characters have good alignment. And here we have ponies. What is this telling us?

This maybe fun loot I guess for people who don't have much shard seal scroll item stuff.

People who were complaining that DDO was becoming a Hello Kitty MMO were not too far off the mark. It's really becoming a My Little Pony MMO.

The newest seasons of mlp are much better then the old drival they had. It pretty much went viral with a lot of people when they relized it didn't suck and was like a guilty pleasure because your not suppose to like mlp as a guy.

    ^ This

I'll just use the melee quarterstaff as an example.

Ok. First, when making a melee quarterstaff, I would hope that an Acrobat is foremost in mind.

Most Acrobats, like most rogues, will probably be True Neutral, so the 32 UMD will be needed. This shouldn't be too much of a problem, except for the major lag problem when swapping items that have anything to do with UMD.

Next there's the FoM on it. With the changes to FoM, I don't really know what the overlap is with FoM and Acrobats immunity to slippery surface. If there's overlap, it's yet another quarterstaff that has an ability (for the most part) granted to Acrobats. If there's no overlap, I bet the change of FoM is due to that pesky bug that prevents the icon from appearing for Acrobats when they are buffed.

Lastly, there's Feather Falling. This annoys me for a couple of reasons. First, with the enhancement changes, Acrobats should be getting Slow Fall which would negate this ability for Acrobats for the most part so it becomes another slot that could be more useful for the main character type that will be using this weapon. Second, even if Acrobats don't get Slow Fall in the enhancement pass, there are times on an Acrobat (at least when I played one) where I don't want to FF all the time and equipping and re-equipping will be a PITA again because of the UMD check.

....Of course there's a chance that some or most of the stuff on this item is randomly generated, since people are saying there are two different versions of the Cleaver.

    This X10000.

Maybe next update all the raid loot can be filled with Strawberry Shortcake references... or Sailor Moon! ZOMGROFLROFLLOL!

Leaving aside the MLP oddness, take a look at the Celestia shortsword, under damage type:

    Light

That's it. No Pierce, no Magic, no Good....just Light.

Does that mean it does full damage against all DRs (even /-) because it isn't inflicting normal physical hits?

Why not add Dragonball too? You know the devs want to make an "Over 9000" weapon of some sort. We are already playing Pokeman with all the cosmetic pets that keep getting added.
