    Default RR Item with (UMD: 0). Bug ?!?

    I have a ring that has the line is Race Required: Dwarf (UMD: 0)

    It has the effects of Striding +15%, Jump +5, Small Guild Augment Slot.

    Is this a bug that I cannot UMD this or are we going to see other randomly generated RR items that cannot be UMD'ed as well?

    Has anyone else had this issue?

    Lastly, if this is a bug is there any way I can get this item fixed (stone of change, GM, etc.) so I can equip it on my characters with UMD that are not dwarves.

    I've seen a few of these.. Was assuming they were WAI but I'd like them to be a bug.

    Got a ring as well, 25% exp fort, +3 or 5 to diplo.

    I know there are some items that are not UMD'able. However they were all named items and were class or alignment specific.

    This one was randomly generated and was race restricted which is why I thought it odd.

    Seeing a lot of these RR (UMD 0) items lately. Hope it's a bug, I mentioned in the bug thread. But I fear its WAI for some arcane reason.

    I asked my guild leader about this one day cuz I found a RR 0 item too. He said that RR 0 just meant it couldn't be UMD'ed and that you had to be the race to use it. He didnt mention if it was a bug or not tho. On another UMD note, why are there RR docents around???????? Saw a couple on reward lists the other day.

    I dont think i will be helping with bug reports any more. Not after seeing what hit live servers yesterday.

    But on a serious note. Maybe make another known issues list for things your still investigating and need more data for. This does 2 things. Allows the community to know an issue is being tracked while allowing the devs to continue to get reports until it can make the official known issues list.

    Seriously. I understand what the Known Issues list is for so much more clearly now. Not that it's a bug you know about, but a bug that you know about that you don't need any more information on.

    OMG, I think that's the first time I've seen this posted!

    It explains why so many of us were wondering why it was so lacking in bugs we knew about (player's perspective).

    There are a few NAMED items with UMD 0. The Mad Lute for Bards comes to mind. http://ddowiki.com/page/The_Mad_Lute

    But as FOS says, random gen. items with UMD 0 (such as the docents you saw) is a bug.

    Do you think it's possible to copy this as a disclaimer in the Know Issues topic? If this appear there right before we need to read anything else, this will minimize a lot of rant. And, maybe, provide you better bug reports.

    By any CHANCE you could see if that list could be renamed to be "Well Documented Issues"?

    "Known Issues" has a completely other understanding for players.

    And here I thought that a known issues list was a list of issues known, go figure I suppose. That does explain why it is so void of "known issues"
