Default Druids Should Get Increased Die Steps like Monk

    ...as the title says,

Druids should get increased base weapon damage dice steps for their natural weapons.
This benefit would only apply while in animal form.

I think getting an increase every four Druid levels would be about right. Similar to the Unarmed Strike feat:
    1d6 - Monk level 1
    1.5[1d6] - Monk level 4
    2[1d6] - Monk level 8
    2.5[1d6] - Monk level 12
    3[1d6] - Monk level 16
    3.5[1d6] - Monk level 20

At end game you're only doing 1d10 as a Winter Wolf.

At the very least, if this is a balance issue, tweak the Natural Fighting feats so that each time you purchase the feat it increases your Natural Weapon die step by 1, as well as give you the doublestrike chance, so if you took all 3 feats you would have 2.5[W] + 18% doublestrike.

I am not sure why they don't in the first place, I would somewhat understand if they got procs on offhand but as it is a lot weaker than TWF Monk even with the 3 doublestrike feats and extra speed. Animal forms sucking is why all 20 Druds I've seen are caster druids.

animal form druids don't do just 1d6 base...(except for basic wolf form)
    wolf: 1d6
    bear: 1d8
    winter wolf: 1d10
    dire bear: 1d12

Eh, the last thing animal forums need is a nerf to their +W attacks. They're already weak DPS, regular +W attacks are one of the few things that keeps them putting out damage at a vaguely reasonable level.
    Gildus, Yhvain, Sabathiel, Einion

    Cannith, GOCI

It wouldn't be a nerf, it would be a buff.

The original post said 1d6 out of error.

So Winter Wolf Form would get 2.5(1d10) with increased die step, if it was tied to Natural Fighting.

Not just that. The Winter wolf form gets a **** good crit profile 18-20 threat range with a x3 crit multiplier. (Rapier threat range and a Greensteel Khopesh base damage and crit multiplier.) Both forms get 2 damage types. And they are all affected by the same Improved Crit feat.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

Actually it is 19-20X3, the 18-20 is just an incorrect description.

Or, it is supposed to be 18-20 but it's broken. So many things on the druid are buggy it's hard to say.

Are you sure that was winter wolf and not ordinary wolf form there? I always thought the crit profile to be the saving grace of the druids melee ability, and now that even that falls apart, theres not much left...

pretty sure winter wolf has the 1d10 18-20/x3
    that's pretty nice tbh
and aren't the normal things that affect unarmed suppose to affect natural weapons too??

anyway, don't see a need for druids to get the improved unarmed as well
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"

I'm positive winter wolf is 19-20X3. That was from testing when I also found out that Past Life: Disciple of the Fist lowers Winter Wolf's damage to 1d6 also

Currently the things that improve unarmed, actually lower Druid animal form damage.

Yes, the description says 18-20 but its actually 19-20. I can confirm that. Devs are aware of the discrepancy but have not indicated which is correct.

The thing I think the playerbase should be looking at is: How is the bear form attack speed vs. the standard Sword and Board attack speed? (Who wants to FRAPS this?)

This is pretty horrible then, not sure if its fixed on the next patch, hopefully they get to it.

I saw dev, like 2 months ago, state everything that increases monk die steps should increase druid die step, not sure if they changed their mind, as that is an extra 2d10 and 2d12 [W] with just Monk past life and item.

With Increased Die step from feat and item, total would be 3d10 and 3d12 would damage, that's more than monks get with just item and past life. Then you can add dreadnought +.5 and +1 when boosted and Twist monk for .5 and you have 5[1d10] winter wolf or 5[1d12] for dire bear, is it really supposed to be stacking this way? if so then let me TR druid into monk once I hit 20, because with the criticals it seems like a very nice number to be at.

Then they should implement it but cap it at 3[W] for animal form. If it went greater than 3[w] everyone would cry overpowered.

This could easily be done by tying it to the natural fighting feats, with each feat giving you .5[W] for a total of 2.5[W], then you could either equip a Monk item or purchase the active Monk Past Life Feat.

3d10 or 3d12 seems right for Epic Levels. As it stands 1d10/1d12 at level 20+ is underpowered and out of balance.

They will cry overpowered with 3d10 too. Honestly monk past life and unarmed die step item should just no affect druids at all, that is why we have the feats for them, I am all up for buffing them up by adding some more meaningfull damage to forms, and no, I am not just saying this because I don't want to TR into Monk for their past life in this toon either.
