The new graphic effects added are very nice. Especially the sun/light effects, I love them. Good job, thanks a lot.

I'm running on ultra high and I don't see any difference
I'll also use this thread to as some questions about the high res DDO:
1) Can I install it into the existing DDO game folder?
2) Will there be any big difference?
I agree the changes are nice and well done. Even the subtle changes of how shadows from trees move across the ground and the terrain effects, such as walking through a wheat field in Kings Forest, very well done.
1) You should be able to, however I would suggest that you backup your user files ( C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online\UserPreferences.ini & the "ui" folder ) to a safe location and uninstall the Standard Res THEN install the High Res. Once install is done just copy your user files back and boom, no changes to settings or layouts.
2) I haven't used the Standard Res install so I can't comment on what, if any differences there may be visually between the two.
Keep in mind that the High Res is most likely a larger install and that you may see an increase in resource usage (CPU/GPU Loads) as there is more data to process. However with a decent processor and graphics card, and the right settings, you shouldn't have any issues running it.
Good Gaming!

"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"
