Win8 Release Preview, stuck between Update Prog/Ex Game Data

As title, I have a win8 release preview install that can't patch. It gets stuck between update programs (checked, status = done) and examine game data (unchecked, no status). I've deleted and reinstalled, I'm running the installer and dndlauncher as admin. Was having the same issues with the standard game client, but the steam install seems to work fine. Thinking I may copy the contents of that over the beta client and see if I can get it to go, but looking for other ideas...

I was having this self same issue a couple of hours ago. It would appear that the install files from DDO aren't quite right. I tried all the possible fixes in the turbine help, but to no avail. I uninstalled the files and downloaded the version through Steam. I examined the files from steam and the ones from ddo. The file sizes from steam were 1.7GB bigger.

Long story short, the steam version installed and updated with no problems.
