Default After buying £5 of points, £200 has been taken from my account

    Hello all

On the 5th of July, I bought £5 of points. When I checked the card 2 days later, I had those sums of money taken from my card:

    0.01p
    £89.90
    £40
    £40
    £40

Those where taken from my account on the 5th of July and 6th. Notice there is no charged for my actually points so far, no sum of £5 where taken.

Once calling my Bank, I was told that the money was taken by Blizzard Store Digital.

This card was new and wasn't used online before my transaction.

Any help would be appreciated, for that is quite a hefty sum of money taken.

    Cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Blizzard WoW/Diablo?

Blizzard is a totally different game company......Someone in the house may have used your card. The bank can tell you where the online transaction occurred at ( like your computer )

or a virus, maybe? if someone you know isn't using your card?

Reporting your card stolen might be useful...and you might need to contact Blizzard.

Sometimes the 0.01p is someone fishing for random card numbers. If that is accepted they go in with higher transactions. It happened to one of my card but the bank picked it up and stopped it.

    I know Blizzard is WoW/Diablo.

Point being I never used this card online beforehand, hell it's a new card.

Knowing this, why did you come to the DDO forums for help? Honestly your first call needs to be to your bank, and your next call to Blizzard.

CC theft sucks bad though. Sorry for ya.

Yeah was going to say the 89.90 is diablo collectors and the 40's might be in game purchases.

Because the date corresponds to when I bought points on the DDO Store. I never bought anything else.

I'd sweep your PC for a keystroke logging virus/spyware. Is DDO the ONLY transaction on the card which you authorized? Contest the charges with the card issuer quickly. Generally within 60 days in the US. Not sure for your country.

Live in the UK. I have ESET 5, no virus found.

Got a update tho: The £5 pounds do show up now, taken by turbine. Someone must have had access to my card.

Sorry to hear about the card. I got Diablo3 as a gift a few weeks ago and I am now even more hesitant to install and set an account. GL!
