Just read the release notes, nothing about Consume? At the moment, it does nothing.
Meld Into Darkness is capped by dodge cap at 25% so kinda useless.

Forgot about it =\
Any word Devs? It's a big bug for this Epic Destiny. Two of the best abilities aren't working at the moment, fix this as soon as possible please.
so, is it just me or does shadow lances not give a blindness effect even with shadow charges?
It seems they don't intend to fix quite a few things, Momentum Swings when used with greataxe on a half orc now has the animation but it doesn't actually hit, so it seems a lot of classes affeceted by horrible bugs. But go make a topic saying you are getting too much XP in certain quest and see a yellow reply in less than 5 posts, quite amazing really.
I've only reached the 3rd tier of Shadowdancer and the cloak of shadows doesn't seem to be doing anything like what is written in the box. At this point it is reducing 24 pts of negative or light damage. The description implies 120 pts. Just a small issue but annoying none the less.
Has anyone actually seen a "Shadow Charge"?
I have Shrouding Strike and would have like 2000 charges by now... if I was allowed to hold them all
Nowhere do I see a Shadow Charge count?? [nor "you gained a Shadow Charge" or "you expended a Shadow Charge"]
how do I get past the 7 max at Tier 3???
how many do I get to hold at Tier 4, 5 or 6????
As Oncoming Darkness states "Each time an enemy affected by your Dark Shrouding mark dies, you gain 1 charge. When you have accumulated 20 of these charges"
how do I get from 7 max to 20?????
nothing you invest in states it raises the max Charges you are able to hold?
Have Untouchable & Executioner's Strike but don't believe they're working due to no Shadow Charges... would explain why Consume wasn't working for others.
I didn't take the Consume path to have a chance to "expend" a Shadow Charge... has anyone used a Charge?
if so... then the Passives linked to Shadow Charges may not be functioning properly...
would think most people went up the Consume path...
I didn't think Shadow Manipulation would be effective enough to use the 2 points as I didn't think Cloak of Shadows was worth the 2 points either but after fighting enough Drow Necros I might want to rethink this.
If the majority spent points getting to Consume... then most would not realize Untouchable & Executioner's Strike may not be working right. [ although I did notice someone mention Executioner's Strike but by name only ]
Guess I'll re-spec my Shadowdancer tree to see if the Consume path works... was 76k pp @ 17 points spent ... went to 96k @ 18 ... NEVERMIND not paying 100k just to find out it doesn't work.
On another note: Executioner's Strike has hit targets yet not killed nor delivered 75 damage at any time I can account for... and Untouchable doesn't visibly change you Dodge % to let you know if it in fact it is giving a bonus?
Think I'll jump in Waterworks wilderness to test Executioner's Strike... I should be able to hit something there @ lvl 22 and hope nothing has 46 Fortitude to make the save.

You know I had been using the Superior Sarcasm font exclusively but it seems in a unannounced hotfix they slipped in the Sovereign Sarcasm font... keep up the good work guys!
AFAIK, the charges for oncoming darkness are not the same as the ones from shrouding strike, so if you kill a marked target, you should get 2 seperate charges, 1 on each counter. You should see 2 charge counters going up if it worked that is, that you currently do not is because shrouding strike is bugged.
Shrouding strike appears to not be working currently, so the only way to get shadow charges would be assassinating something. Again, assassination does also not work currently, so the only chance to get an assassinate in would be hitting something someone else has aggro from.
All in all, we have lots of different bugs in turn affecting other bugs, so it is quite hard to figure out how it is supposed to work, and that is only what I could gather from other threads. In this state, the destiny is an absolute mess, and I would not even assume that the passives really work without someone testing it.The supposedly stacking fortification bypass for example is another likely candidate to be bugged, as is everything you do not directly see on the charsheet somewhere. If in doubt, assume it to be bugged...
Drop one of the skills that uses charges on to a hotbar. The number of uses will increase with each shadowcharge you get. Starts at 0 until you get a charge.
I've able to Assassinate in King's Forest...
spiders, Drow Necros, Drow Archers, Drow Warriors, wolves, Dire Bears... hell I even Assassinated a Will-o-Wisp
no charges!!!
not a mention of a charge anywhere I could find???

That would be great but...
if you didn't take the left path to Consume you have wait till Tier 6 if didn't take Shadow Lance at Tier 1 to find out if you get any charges and that's if you take Shadow Form at tier 6???
Which I'm not sure why you would take Shadow Lance to do Unholy Damage to Evil NPCs same thing with Tier 6 Oncoming Darkness... why?
PvP maybe???
So if you only have passives that use Shadow Charges you wouldn't be able tell if you have any Shadow Charges?...
seems to be a mistake in the first place... and should have been addressed before releasing Shadowdancer.
and at this point I'm not spending 100kpp just to reset tree to find out if I have any Shadow Charges taking paths I don't want...
only find out they're not working correctly anyway... since Consume wasn't listed as a fix in last patch.
then spend 100kpp to reset tree back to what I have.
Seems in the Beta, Shadows Charges were flowing like the Mississippi River,
guess in an effort to curb the flow... they dammed the River and as an extra precaution caused an epic drought to dry up it's existence.
Fixes these days seem to be either... all or nothing with more broken.

Tried using Shadow Lances and somehow they work on herzous, renders and drow, quite sure those are evil. But somehow the skill is bug and only fires 1 bolt at the target when it is suppose to be 3 and disappointed at the skill's animation since they just recycles a PM's necrotic bolt for it.
Evil targets being hit by this is WAI at least. The confusion comes from the decription on weapons, holy/unholy weapons had something like "deals 2d6 to targets of evil/good alignment". Shadow lance does not have that, so it probably is supposed to deal damage at least.
Shadow Lance (min level: 20) (3 ranks - 1 AP): (Active Cooldown: 30secs) Throws 3 spears, each dealing [6/8/10]d3 + [18/24/30] unholy damage and has a chance to blind target (Fort DC [14/16/18] + Half character level + Intelligence modifier) if you have Dark Shrouding charges
if it deals... only unholy damage... do evil-aligned creatures take the damage?

I bet the damage is untyped. There are a few past examples where something was described to deal a specific type of damage and it ended up being untyped. Blade barrier for instance used to say slashing damage back in the day, but items like axblock didnt reduce the damage.
