Is Dirge as bad as I think?

there are very powerful tier 1 abilities in other destinies so it is no excuse for keeping dirge so weak.

consider also that it can be used only if you have fatesinger active or you have bard levels, so it can't be used by many builds without giving up something.

i think it needs a boost somehow.

Out of curiosity, what's the save based on for this one? Tooltip simply says "save vs. fort for half".

Curious on how many of these require a reasonable Cha to pull them off.

With 30 cha and lvl 3 fatesinger destiny, I have 69 DC. Don't know what the calc is, but most should have enough DC to affect most mobs in the game, very few mobs save (mainly drow priestesses).

Sounds like the DC is based off the Perform skill.

It's not. I had 75 perform.

I took it to help my hagglebot get lowbie favor, and to pretend I'm not useless in end game quests.

Thats about all its good for at these damage levels.

Needs to be affected by spell power or something. I'm level 4 fatesinger with full spell power to life magic and sonic but all my sonic attacks still suck. Not that I was expecting greater shout to be awesome.

Dirge needs to do more damage when you think about any nuke another class has. Most enemies will be dead by the time you get done playing it and 1k damage over the course of 40 seconds is crazy. My sorc could do that in one casting of acid ball.

Seems kinda lackluster but at least it gave me something do with my songs.

Chord of disruption is also kinda lackluster but at least its a 12sec no save disable.

Any chance we could get a instantaneous song with direct sonic damage based off spell power? An aoe song and a single target song would be very nice
