375 Purple Dragon Knight Favor

Pretty much a static group (party members in the screen shot below) finished our 375 purple dragon knight favor today. Rockna, Raever, Aqueous, Sobeka and I ran through all the quests together. Last spot a few different people joined us on different nights. Others may have already done this, but I don't see any previous groups on live who have taken screen shots of the vendor options, so those will follow.

Currently 375 favor (without the raid) requires every quest on epic elite and getting every star in every challenge on level 30. It was a lot of fun to run through. [Edit: new highest-achievable pdk favor mark is 399 with the raid on epic elite. Most of this group was in our July 11 completion and got this new mark then. The favor vendor allows you to make named armors from the quests into set pieces.

It will allow you to buy cormyrian red and green dragonscale armors, but those require 3 heroic commendations from the raid. The favor vendor also lets you turn weapons that presumably drop from the raid into pieces of the planar conflux trinket/weapon sets.

I really wish the upgrade the quest armors was tier 2. Raid items conflux tier 3 is fine, but seems a bit overly harsh to put the found armor upgrades there as well.

The Stone Heart docent can become the armor part of any set with different commendation requirements:

• Sun Soul requires 15 villager commendations. Way of the Sun Soul grants +2 hit/damage and an effect on a 20 based on stance.
  
• Amaunator's Blessing requires 15 clerics of amaunator commendations. It grants 10% enhancement discount to spell point costs.
  
• Woodsman's Guilde requires 15 druid commendations. It grants +4 to-hit and +6 damage on a sneak attack.
  
• Battle Arcanist requires 15 war wizard commendations. It grants 10% enhancement discount to spell point costs.
  
• Knight's Loyalty requires 15 purple dragon knight commendations. It grants +3 to-hit and damage and +3 insight bonus to natural armor.

Named armors can be keyed to certain set bonuses:

• Spidersilk Vestments (this is the caparison, though the vendor text says vestments) can become part of the Sun Soul set. This upgrade requires 15 villager commendations. Way of the Sun Soul grants +2 hit/damage and an effect on a 20 based on stance.
  
  
• Terrorweb Chitin Breastplate can become part of the Amaunator's Blessing set or the Knight's Loyalty set. Amaunator's blessing unlock requires 15 clerics of amaunator commendations and grants 10% enhancement discount to spell point costs. Purple Dragon Knight set unlock requires 15 Purple Dragon Knight commendations and grants +3 to-hit and damage and +3 insight bonus to natural armor.
  
  
• Hide of the Goristro can become part of the Woodsman's Guilde set with 15 druid commendations. The set bonus grants +4 to-hit and +6 damage on a sneak attack.
  
  
• Spidersilk Robes can become part of the Battle Arcanist, requiring 15 war wizard commendations. It grants 10% enhancement discount to spell point costs.
  
  
• Embrace of the Spider Queen can become part of the Knight's Loyalty set, requiring 15 purple dragon knight commendations. It grants +3 to-hit and damage and +3 insight bonus to natural armor.

Certain "relic weapons" can be unlocked to become part of the planar conflux set bonuses.

You do not have to key the weapons for a particular set bonus.

Once a weapon is keyed, equipping it with any planar conflux will grant you the set bonus based on the set that the trinket planar conflux item belongs to.

Keying weapons does not require any commendations or other materials.

Not all weapon types can become part of the planar conflux set bonuses.

Only the following weapon types can be keyed to a planar conflux set. This suggests that the raid only drops these weapon types:

125 favor gives you the key (tier 1), 250 favor gives you a cosmetic pet (tier 2), and 375 favor unlocks the vendor (tier 3)

Set bonues on a weapon is stupid. How often in the course of game play do you need to switch weapons for optimum DPS or DC's or Spell Power? Using a weapon as part of a set is a poor choice and will lead to stale game play. Nevermind the above issue of completing every possible weapon choice.
