help me with will save please

In one of the new quests I am getting a whipping..

cometfall I suspect? I've been playing with my incoming messages log and am still having problems...! (clearly seeing what damage I am getting from whome and how).

Impossible demands...is the quest.

I like to call it..impossible demands...or carrying your cleric in your backpack...


So..I've been looking to improve my will save in the hope that this will work...

Plus I have maxed balance just about but I will need to look into carrying enhanced balance into this quest...

So far I have worked out...

1) Tie a paladin to my back and rely on their aura of courage...

2) Prayer

3) heroism (clickie) ..won't last long... greater heroism if I have a freindly bard, sorcerer or wizard along...

4) dexterity plus 6 item (hopefully boots of balance plus something

My question is...

have I missed anything?...I can get my will up to about 17 (without aura and greater heroism).

IS there some sort of DR item which will help?

(also perhaps there was strategy missing from this quest..and those traps are REALLY pounding me as well..)

if it is comet fall that is getting you - up your reflex.

if it is greater command - you should already have a decent will save -but get a +5 resistance item

also protection from evil will negate command

so for comet fall - find a +dex item, resistance item, and then pray.

oh you are right...my will was so low I just assumed it was that...I have the dex item already...and yes my reflex is already high...

back to the drawing board...

What exactly is causing your problem in Impossible Demands? If you're a pale master you pretty much have to do it the saving hostages way because the priestess in super form will wreck you with a triple stacked DOT. For other classes you can probably get away without saving the hostages, but it's really not hard to save them and it makes the fight with the Priestess a breeze.

For the traps Fireshield, solid reflex, and skirting the edges helps.

and it did take me a few tries to work out the strategy here...I am no uber player.

Exceptional Fort is fortification. Spells do not check for critical hits.

If you are a cleric, then beating the drow priestess is pretty easy. Move around constantly, and keep a triple stack of divine punishment running on her.

If you move, her cometfalls won't hit you.
