Would this solo build work on a dwarf?

I have a level 17 dwarf cleric based on this build. I'd like to Lesser Reincarnate him into a more solo-capable cleric and am considering this build:

Basic Melee Capable Cleric:
A Pure Cleric with Modest STR and Khopesh Proficiency for decent damage. THis build solo's well from L1 to as high as the game can take you.

What do you think? Is this a good idea? Would the build still work even though it's meant for a human and my guy's a dwarf?

You have to drop one feat for not being human: drop Empower. Since u14 it is worth less, and it was never all that great to start with.

It is imperative that you get Radiant Servant. Energy of the Zealot and the heal crit lines beyond 1 can all go.

Definitely get Smiting 4. For a low DPS build like a melee cleric, it is a Godsend to have a big gun to trot out on self-healing red names or other sturdy targets. Plus it might be fixed someday to actually give the full Power value, and you wouldn't want to miss that.

Thank you, Kinerd! This sounds like excellent advice. I knew I'd be losing a feat, and Empower looks like a good one to drop.
