Stupid reasons that got you squelched

I think I might have gotten squelched the other day for saying hello. I was on Proudtetra, a toon I rarely play, and I coudln't get the dude to answer me for anything. I dunno if he has a serious hate on for the crazy turtle girl and recognized my voice (people say I'm distinctive), a serious hate on for fish, women, or had an overzealous reaction to my being female and was trying to freind me. LOL It was odd but hilarious. SInce they party leader wouldn't answer anything, I just went nuts and did whatever I wanted.

Maybe he has selective mutism and can't talk to women

Or he just can't read at all like that guy that was murdering those poor slaves in our Lost Thread party

Because I run with nonresponsive puggers every couple days, often due to a language barrier.

You got it, he would respond to everyone else. In english, which is pretty much my only language. So for whatever reason, he either decided to play an odd prank or squelched me.

Squelched because I replied "I could not care less that you squelch me" to someone who threatened me to squelch me if I die during the quest. ( Because he would lose 10% xp )

Squelched because I am not enough entertaining as a party leader. I am french canadian and my english is poor so when I give orders to my party members I go straight to the point and I don't talk much about my life nor I do a lot of jokes mostly because of the language barrier. This women considered that rude that I don't entertain her enough during the quest.

Squelched because I could not understand what someone was saying in the micro. He sounded like he had a cigar in the mouth and the fact that my english is poor didn't help.

Squelched because I ran out of res scrolls as a rogue. Unfortunately, I thought 21 would be enough for one quest.

Squelched on a hox run as a healer when it was my very first run a long time ago. The leader didn't explain anything of my job as a healer when I clearly pointed out at the beginning that it was my first time.

Squelched for using earthgrab as an earth savant sorc in the wayward lobster.

Squelched for picking up a SOS seal as a monk, which would clearly be useful for my barb

Squelched for using trade chat.

Squelched for saying "HIRELING DOWN!!" during a raid where the other healer had 295hp.

As many times as I have grouped with you on my 28pt build healers it may have been a group I was in. I would never squelch you for that since I make fun of my own toons gimpiness when on their first lives. In fact I have seen some hireling better than my toons.

I do remember a Shroud elite where as a favor to my guild leader, I brought in my old 28pt FvS as a second healer who had almost 300 hp. The 600+ Hp healer told my Guildleader to remove me as too gimpy and "going to die in the first fight". After I rezed him the second time, without dying myself, for some reason he squelched me. (doh, see I posted that story before, sorry) .

After monitoring Distributed progress on this current life it would be pretty easy to get squelched by him but yea, I think he just ignores a lot of people.

p.s. Distributed, grats on finishing all of those Shrouds finally so I don't have to look at those LFMs any more... but watch where you drop those columns in Titan.

I just cast my dancing ball and web in the middle or use paralyzers to add to the fun.

That dude tried to blind invite an alt of mine to do something with him, but I ran away. I tried everything from polite please stop killing our slaves to losing my temper on him entirely (something I rarely do, and am not known for all that much in ddo cuz usually annoying people just make me quiet, do my thing, and get outta the group) both verbally and in writing.

On the plus side, the all rogue and one cleric group was a ton of fun, and I would totally heal a party of you guys again! I just ran along behind, healing you all up, and cheering on my rogues! Come to Loggerhead little rogues, I will heal you all and let you go mad killing things as long as you disarm a trap or two for a slow dwarf.

I currently have two names on my squelch list, and it's because they just kept spamming blind party invites every day I was online, out of nowhere, not even a tell first. I didn't even know who they were ><

And for those that I just ignore, there's only about three or four people in that category.

Ya know for a while it had gotten better, and I hadn't seen one of these in ages, then in the last three weeks it has been raining mysterious invites on my head. And kinda randomly and strange, like my Rogue got three the other day from names I do not at all know. I was kinda tempted to accept the harbor one, join in whatever quest they were doing, and hose the daylights outta them. I mean, they INVITED me to go with them, right? *Grins* I didn't, I'm too good a turtle to do it, but the temptation was strong.

Squelched for zerging in Shroud and not waiting infront of every portal to get maximum buffs the 12 toons could possibly give out. Figured if I was already squelched by many I'll actually do something worth getting squelched so I hit last altar as soon as Harry died ( oh the amount of rage over voice chat that happened "DD plox...wait wut ??! fuuuuuuu", even when I remember it today I get tears of joy in my eyes )

This one cracks me up. Some people just can't fathom that you don't need their buffs. I think their the same ones that get bent when you don't buff them without being asked.

Had an LFM up for Shroud clearly stating 2 slots saved. Had 9 players and many players hit the LFM at once. I had to take a minute to look over the applicants and decide who would fit the party best since we were running elite. I eventually made my decision and was actually working my way towards being polite by sending a tell to those I had declined with a brief explanation when I took down the LFM. Well, before I could get around to one of them, I received a tell "Welcome to ignore list."

I think someone was just having a bad day.
