    Default Creeping cold stacking?

Does anyone know how/if (greater) creeping cold stacks with itself? Some casual testing with the first one seemed to show they stacked without interfering with each other based on the damage numbers, but there was only one icon showing up when examined.

Seems almost too good to be true that you can just keep staking them on each other, the cool down is pretty short.

They shouldn't be stacking, the description would specify if a single caster can multi stack them. A Greater Creeping Cold is the same base DPS as a fully stacked Niac's over it's duration (since the DPS ramps up), but you don't have to worry about stacking it or losing a stack if your attention falters or a spell gets interrupted (concentration, quest event, other spells, trip, etc).

Of course Druids don't have a second high DPS DOT to stack with it, and their best case spellpower scenario is below an Arcane, so the DOT being high DPS even without stacking doesn't seem unreasonable.

It shouldn't stack with itself, but creeping cold and greater creeping cold do seem to stack. While not having a long cool down is so that you can throw it up on multiple monsters, it is annoying to try to keep it going, because of the short duration and not having a cooldown to let you know when to cast it again.

So I tested this out (creeping cold, not the greater version). It's pretty weird. Something is definitely going, but I can't quite tell what. You can see 2 numbers per tick, but only 1 tic every 4 seconds when that happens. but not every time. damage seems to go high and stay high if you stack it. but not every time. I am thoroughly confused.

From my little testing of regular Creeping Cold it doesn't stack from a single caster. When you cast the spell the first tic happens immediately and if you recast it that tic happens again immediately and then it goes back to ramping up normally. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary with the stacking really.

So if this is the way it's suppose to work (and may be working now) I suppose the trick is to re-cast immediately after the last tick, but *definitely* not before the last tick? That's kind of a PITA and makes it hard to use in situations where it's inconvenient to open examine and watch the timer. It would be nice if you could queue up one additional cast that would start going as soon as the previous cast expired, that would keep dot management a bit more in line with the U9 dots.

This is why I said I had mixed feelings on the short cooldown. With the wiz/sorc's eladar's and niac's, all you need to do is wait for the cooldown to end. On the other hand, you can put this on 5 monsters if you wanted, but I'm not sure that's so great unless they are spread out, because in most cases one or two of your many persistent AoEs would probably be more efficient.
