Default Dual wielding in the new system

Any suggestions on making a Dual wield melee in the new system? I would like to do dwarf but am up for suggestions. So tell me what classes and race combinations would be best for dual wield damage.

There isn't a huge change actually.

+hit is worth less than it used to be, but it's still one of your better stats. You may wish to reconsider costly investments in it however, it likely is not worth a feat for Weapon Focus feats.

The most major change actually is to drop Power Attack. Now that you cannot always guarantee to hit on a 2, it's a drop in DPS. Pick up Precision instead, which is +5% chance to hit (roughly equivalent to +9-10 hit on high AC targets) and -25% fort bypass on your target. The second effect is not listed on the feat ingame, but I can assure you it is there.

After having played more this update the player to hit system that was discussed does not appear to have been implemented. I have been running my stalwart level 20 fighter Legendary Dreadnaught (now about 4 epic) and as I have progressed in dreadnaught and epic levels my to-hit has been less of an issue to the point that I keep power attack on nearly all the time on epic elite level 25 quests one elite. That being said precision with its -25 fortification is a very good feat especially for rogues.

To answer the OP's question half-elf and half-orc are currently the best two fighting races although for FTP dwarf is a nice alternative. Fighters I think are the current best two weapon fighting characters in game although that could change in the future.

Actually I'm pretty sure the new to-hit system is in. I've heard several reports of pure casters being able to melee relatively successfully on high AC mobs.

The fact that you don't notice is hilarious for me though, because it's exactly what I said would happen beforehand. "OMFGBBQ they're nerfing melee!" No, not really.

Most mobs don't have the AC to cause you to miss that often even with the new system. The ones that do are easily debuffed down with the new abilities to a point where you're still hitting them 90-95% of the time. And along with the change was an unnoticed change that increased the range you got glancing blows at. So even if you miss an attack against their AC, as long as you rolled 2 or higher, you still got a glancing blow. The rate at which you see "Miss" will be exactly the same as before, maybe less.

Power attack on and I am hitting on everything but a 1

Change was implemented as in beta... for mobs not for toons
