    Default Druid class icon suggestion

I am posting to suggest that ddo uses the small leaf icon for druid that was posted in ddowiki as a replacement for the actual druid icon.

The main reason I am writing this is that a class icon got to be recognizable even if its really small. The deer skull is hard to identify clearly and a paler font of green would also be classier in my opinion. Other class icons like cleric, fvs, sorcs, monks and others are excellent. I am not saying I totally dislike the actual icon but I think the one presented in ddowiki at the moment is better and more representative.

Druids don't have deer form. I don't know why their icon is from an animal that doesn't exist in the game.

For me it looks like a orc shaman from spellforce.

I agree completely. I don't understand why they went with a skull for Druid instead of a leaf or even a paw.

If druids have a deer form, the current icon would work.

However, that being said, the leaf design looks better.

To me it looks like an elk.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Druids don't have leaf form either. And bards play a lute, yet their class icon is a harp.

The skull icon is frikkin awesome. It has a primal, shamanic vibe that conveys the fact druids aren't leaf munching hippies but dangerous and powerful messengers of nature.

And yeah, they aren't going to change a class icon because forumites ask them to. Much less to a random icon from the Interwebs created by a non Turbine employee. All due respect to ddowiki.

Yeah, when I saw the druid icon in the party window I was like "What the heck is that?" Until I read this thread I had no idea it was supposed to be a deer skull.

    Smile Durid Icon

I think that the durid icon should be something related to nature (Not a "skull" of a deer) A tree, leaf, paw anything that's related to nature other than a skull

Actually, the animal skull is quite fitting.
Druids aren't just all about nature. They're actually all about balance within all things, but most especially nature. The skull of an animal accurately represents the cycle of life; i.e. life and death and the balance therein.
The animal skull is a much more accurate a representation of what Druids are about than a simple leaf or paw would be.
