Default epic destinies:how do they work?

So epic destinies tell me if I'm wrong. Everybody gets one destiny and you can level up in all of them regardless. But you can have a total of four destinies active at any given time. This is by using twist of fates (up to 3) plus your main destiny..
.however you can only get to level 3 in your "side" destinies and level 5 in your main one ..this correct or someone clarify...and I also see an exploit with these fate stones that are exclusively ddostore bought anyhow someone clarify this up. Thanks

    Everybody gets one destiny
All characters can pick one destiny from a pool of eligable destinies once they hit level 20. If you have at least 6 levels in a class, then you can pick from that pool. So a 6 Paladin/6 Sorcerer/7 Rogue could pick any Destiny except for the ones in the Primal sphere.

and you can level up in all of them regardless.
You are not locked into a specific destiny forever. Once you get level 3 in a Destiny, you can switch to another Destiny in the same sphere (Exalted Angel -> Unyielding Sentinel). Once you get level 4 in a Destiny which has a connection to another sphere, you can jump to the other sphere (Unyielding Sentinel -> Grandmaster of Flowers).

Any experience earned and action points spent in a Destiny is not lost, and you can swap between active Destinies by talking to the Fatespinner.

But you can have a total of four destinies active at any given time.
    No.

This is by using twist of fates (up to 3) plus your main destiny..
Twists of fate let you borrow a SINGLE ability from another Destiny. You don't get all of the benefits. A Cleric/Favored Soul after leveling up Magister could take the ability that gives a bonus to school DC and twist that ability into another Destiny so they get the full benefits of Destiny A, while still getting the +DC boost from Magister. But that's all they'd get from Magister, unless they used a second twist on another ability.

Twists can only be spent on the "top" of the Destiny tree. The autogrant abilities along the bottom cannot be twisted.

Lastly, in order to use a twist ability, you have to unlock it first. You can't just grab twists out of Destinies that you've spent no experience in.

Thats cool. So if I go Dreadnought, I get all 6 tiers of dreadnought + 1 ability from ANY sphere that is above tier 1 (where you get the ton of freebie abilities) x 3, is this correct?

You'll need to earn XP in those other spheres, and there are limits about how good of an ability you can twist from elsewhere (you need fate points for that, both to unlock twists and to unlock higher tier twists), but yes.

You could go all nutzo on Dreadnaught, and then tack on the LoH abilities from Unyielding Sentinel for self-healing, or the 50% elemental absorption shield from Draconic Incarnation, or Dirge from Fatesinger for AOE damage, or Primal Scream from Fury Of the Wild to give everyone +5 Morale bonus on their Str & Con. Whatever.

But you have to grind out a whole bunch of XP to not only unlock the destinies, but the fate points and the AP spent in those destinies to get the abilities going.
