Default Spell power equations and potency

Ok how does spell power stack up?
    universal, Equip, alchemical, etc.

Looks like Ardor and Brilliance has been gimped now because if you want to melee you can't click it for 75% instead of potency at 50% and put your potency weapon away. It is added to potency now, but hey upside no spell lvl restrictions to any of them. Any good potency non weapon items out there besides lvl18 TOD necklace?

Looks like my heal scrolls are better... why?

    Thx

It's almost like everything else in the game... different types are additive. Universal is basically the replacement for potency. Old glaciation/potency type effects on gear are equipment bonuses.

Clickies provide short term alchemical bonuses that stack on top of standard spell power items. Up to level 20 items can provide up to 90 spell power in single element or 60 universal spell power (old potency). 120 spell power in a single school is highest possible equipment bonus found so far.

Implement bonuses are almost exclusively found on weapons. The calculation for them is 3x +enhancement bonus of the item. For example, a +5 Glaciation Scepter of Major Ice Lore can provide +15 implement bonus to universal spellpower and +90 equipment bonus to cold spellpower.

Equipment that formerly had radiance, glaciation, etc. as non-weapons still have these stats. They do not generally receive implement bonuses as those only come from weapons.

Non-weapon potency items: all epic challenge items that provide spellpower bonus provide 90 spellpower to their specific element. Alchemist crown provides 72 positive and 72 radiance spellpower. Eardweller is a +25 psionic bonus to spellpower clicky.

As far as new items go there are 2 interesting ones... a set bonus for trinket/weapon for passive +15 psionic bonus to universal spellpower. Another trinket provides +15 implement bonus and +102 negative/radiance/impulse spellpower as well as exc. cha +1 and exc. wis +1.

Hope that answers most of your questions.
