Interesting Random Loot

What interesting random loot have you seen pop up in the new content? I think the most unique one I saw was a Banishing Quarterstaff of Disruption. Yup, two instakills on one weapon. I didn't take it though, because there was a Magma Greataxe of Undead Bane.

I personally have always been more of a random loot person vs a crafter. Crafting always seemed like too much of a grind.

Last night in Eveningstar I could have taken as an end reward a couple of docents for my WF. However, one was RR for a halfling and the other was RR for a Half Elf/Elf/Drow. I was disappointed because my UMD was not high enough to use either one. But I had a good chuckle.

I thought that the release notes said this had been taken care of, but apparently not.

One bow with Poison, Poison Burst and Con Damage Poison.
One bow with freeze enemy.
One heavy mace with disintegration.

I picked up a min-level 22 set of bracers with 10% healing amp and Insight 4 AC. What will that get on the AH?

Also picked up a Radiance Rapier with a pretty awful prefix so I vendored it.

nothing too uber but a quarterstaff with nightmare & deception (was lvl 20 with rr something) plus the gemstone? docent from a kings area quest made me think about dusting off my wf mnk 2 / rog 18 stickfighter, & throwing on the improved deception necklace for icing.

Best thing I picked up so far (haven't run any quests in there yet as I'm not lvl 20 yet) was a lvl 21 Health +6 ring of Greater False Life. Picked that up doing Spinner of Shadows on Elite.

A guildy pulled a weapon with:
Weakening
Weakening
Enfeebling
Shatter +10

(The second Weakening was from one of the new prefix/suffix effects). That looked pretty sweet to me! If it had been a 1-hander I would have taken it for my rogue and picked up Crippling Strike again. 4 Str damage/hit is probably even relevant in epics.

It seems it's fixed for loot that comes from chests, but some end reward lists can still spew out RR docents. I'm putting in a fix for it now- should be resolved in a future patch.

Cool ... thanks for the info. I guess I can stop rolling up a halfling so that I could use that docent.

I was just happy to see ML:20 loot as an end reward for Eye of the Titan.

Oh yeah, I also pulled a:
+4 holy burst khopesh of mauling

Mauling consists of bleed, slicing and maiming.

While running a quick reclaiming memories to help a guildy reach 20, we both received masterwork handwraps among other lvl 1 end rewards. But I did enjoy all the new loot gen in the new content and elsewhere.

Now this is the type of loot I like seeing. Why? Because it reminds the veterans of pre-Mod 3 (desert) of all sorts of race required items that made no sense. Full Plate WF only. Underwater Action WF only. Docents every race other than WF.

I know FoS took some flack for "Randomgate" but i think the new loot flowing around is kinda cool and a welcome return to the days when you excitedly opened a chest to see what was inside. There are new random items dropping that you would consider equipping right away and it's only into it's second day. That's the kinda MMO i want to play, one that keeps you hoping and occasionally rewards you. Not just skimming your loot to see if there's a large guild slot before vendoring it.

I mean has anyone ever actually posted a thread like this before the update?

(Don't get me wrong though, named loot is named loot and should stay that way!)
