Yup, the heavy scaling factor involved in epic elite will probably mean epic hard or epic normal farms will become the common method of running stuff.

    Grats.

Ran it a few hours ago. The bosses HP is insanely high and as Soni said he hits hard. Fun end fight though.

The quest gave no epic tokens and the Token on the end chest was unclickable. After you run it it bugs out too. You can't retake the quest.

In our Lama completion of epic elite DQ2, the trash efreeti hit for ~170 in melee. (They are rednameds so not strictly trash). Still think we could have beaten it without pots if we had 12.

What I really want to see is epic elite bladesworn paladins.

Epic "normal" is soloable, you can insta kill mini-bosses with destruction/implosion.
I tanked the last boss easily, just take some time.
the stair traps can be simply walked, was the difference between normal->elite Epics same in lama?

Once MotU went live, as soon as game downloaded, my guildy, 3 other pug players and me decided to went into "Beyond the Rift" on Epic Elite (EE). It was names that I know so I decided to enter i without a cc caster. Well first encounter with CR 46 almost wiped whole party. But they were not immune to fascinate so we managed. Bard res whole party and then with pulling, improved paralize and lots of brute DPS we kill them all. But then we got to second encounter, some spiders that couldnt be fascinated, we wiped.

I guess its time to farm xp and gear again. We are not ready for EE without massive usage of pots.

AFAIK Epic normal is just "Normals" at-level for a level 20 i.e. what a level 5 quest on normal would be for a level 5 character. Epic hard gets slightly harder, like the Hard difficulty and Epic Elite is pretty much what the old epics were.

Epic normal and hard is pretty easy to solo with gear, epic elite I'm still working on :P

    Congratulations, Soni.

So far, EE looks like the playground for the really big boys and girls who are looking for some serious challenge.
It does not look too inviting or rewarding to me, so I guess Epic Hard will be my difficulty of choice.

Epic Elite is not what old epics were at all.

Epic Elite is several steps up.

Think of it this way - a Carnival quest on epN is a level 20 normal quest and feels like it. Epic Hard feels like a level 20 Hard. And Epic Elite feels like a level 20 elite raid with only six players in it.

I guess it will be just as our old epics used to be when we get our toons to lvl 25 and get some destynies.

Sounds like the hen and the egg, just with a pinch of grind inbetween.

Lords of dust on EE also seems a lot harder than several other quests i've done on the same difficulty. My group ran out of sp on the drow boss and we have to beat him down with throwing weapons and SLA from the safe spot. It took a while but it was a potless run at least :P We did EE Claw of the Vulkoor early though without much difficulty. I think lords of dust will just be a notably more difficult epic on EE compared to others.

Most of us are still level 20/21 at this point. With tier 6 epic destinies and the benefits of being level 25 i think we'll find EE much easier. Epic elite wasn't designed to be completed by level 20s
