Connection to the server has been lost

Could someone please address this, and give us some kind of hit as to what is going on under the hood that could be a catalyst in these disconnects. They are decidedly bad in 18.2.

I have returned to the game after a nine month break. I can log onto characters still adventuring in Korthos Village, but when I log onto characters in Stormreach they lag immediately and then I get booted from the server after a minute or so. Why does the game work in Korthos, but not Stormreach? Please help.

ok i have done everything i can to get this working my 1 account works fine... but when i try log this account in it lets me into the world but soon as it loads up in the harbor it goes red on me


this tells me it's not my side since one of my accounts can still log in and play fine the thing i don't get tho is there both in harbor and only 1 of the accounts have the problem so please ddo team can you address this soon and fast it's killing us all here

I have a problem, when I try to connect let me create my character and select my character, but when the load to enter the game, I get "game error: Connection to the server has been lost", and restart the modem, also turn off my firewall and antivirus, but the problem persists, replace also my connexion of my work to my home and still follows me out the same error, not if it is a server error or what happens, hopefully I give a solution to this problem.

i just downloaded DDO this morning, took me 3 hours!, then the launcher wont open so i have to uninstall and spend another 3 hours watching the loading bar creep up, when finaly i manage to make a character i find i cant even play them because i loose server connection!! WHY!

I've been getting this alot as well.

Here's what I've done so far to try to resolve this:
Disable both firewalls while playing.
Opened up port forwarding in my router using PortForward.com's walkthrough.
Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter to get rid of the chance of it being computer-related.
Ran a speed test and confirmed that I'm getting my full bandwidth (somewhat miraculous on a wireless connection).
Tried to run the game after a clean boot with no luck.

If I'm missing any troubleshooting steps, let me know.
