    Default Now going on 26 hours...

    Reported our missing ship buffs to a GM yesterday immediately after logging in post-update (around 11:00 Central, US time), same way pretty much everyone else posting in this thread did. Got the same fairly terse response that the GM couldn't do anything, no plat refunded, contact customer support to see if they could refund the TP spent on ship buffs - - a total of 1600 used on Saturday afternoon. (Roughly 60k plat spent on the other buffs, all buffs updated for a month.)

    It is now going on 26 hours since I submitted a ticket to customer support, received the automated "We got yer ticket, now wait in line" message, responded (as instructed in the email) to indicate that the issue was still open, still an issue, noting all of the order information from the purchase receipt email. Over a day later there's nothing in my inbox, and with no ticket tracking in the support system, I'm feeling a bit bent over the pop cooler right now...

    While I appreciate the gesture on Turbine's part to give a discount on store ship buffs, until I get the TP back that I've already spent, I'm not overly interested in laying out more real world cash to get back to square one.

    As several folks have already noted (so forgive me for piling on), getting the TP back is one thing - - assuming that I actually get the refund - - but getting the shaft on the plat that was spent is a little abusive. We're a small guild, not focused on setting aside piles of cash to buff our ship. For those who have stated that 60k plat is no big deal, feel free to catch me in-game so I can follow you around and pick up all the plat and diamonds you have falling out of your arse...

    Will update this post if/when I hear from Customer Support so the rest of you have an idea how long the process seems to be taking...

    Now going on 48 hours since the ticket for the Turbine Points was submitted and my reply was sent to the automated customer support message, and despite sending/forwarding email to support twice in since this post yesterday, still only dust collecting in my email inbox...

    Exactly. Any players who think 50-100k is chump change, please volunteer to donate some of your largesse helping out the victims of Hurricane U14.

    I know it takes slightly more effort than posting "it's only 100k, gosh!" But if you can't afford empathy, how about some plat?

    While this doesn't completely reimburse us for our ship stuffs, it does help for gold seal bits.

    This has been added to our Known Issues list:

    Airship amenities applied prior to June 25th expired upon the release of Menace of the Underdark. Guilds may use coupon SHIP75 for a 75% discount off amenities in the DDO Store. Coupon is good through Sunday July 1st, limit 10 per account.

    For folks who purchased amenities with Turbine Points, please contact support for further assistance.
    Can an admin make this a sticky for this thread?

    I kept similar items in my ships guild chest. I moved all of them to one of my mules two weeks before the update.

    I am pretty sure I won't use a guild chest ever again after this mishap!

    Same here, Level 33 guild on Thelanis...ship stripped clean. Just reupped everything with plat just before the update.

    So 36 hours later and I'm guessing that I'm not the only one to have asked account support for a refund of previously paid TP as per ingame support advice and Cordovan above.

    Not heard anything yet but not surprised, no major rush, has anyone had any success yet?

    Thank you for keeping us updated. I really hope a better solution is offered by Turbine than giving us a discount to store purchased annenities.
    My real forum Join date is July 2007. Maybe one day someone will develop the awsome technology to fix this currently unfixable bug.

    If the investigation turns out that this was done on purpose will Turbine at least come clean and admit it? Being sneaky to get more money is one thing, but if you are honest about it might meet a better response by the client base.

    This was absolutely not done deliberately.

    I am sure it wasn't deliberate. Since guilds aren't transferred to Lamaland, it would have been hard to catch.

    Like so many others, I logged in Monday night after the update only to find my just maxed out amenities wiped from the ship. I am fortunate in that I do not spend turbine points on the amenities, just phantom pp. Nevertheless, refunding the turbine points to those who do is a must. As for the platinum lost, I just do not see a means where Turbine can replace that. However, I would suggest Turbine offer some other in-game means of alternate compensation. Several suggestions come to mind. Each guild leader could be credited with a token worth one guild level upon use. Every guild member will receive a 100% guild experience elixir with a 48 hour duration. A month-long 50% guild experience bonus days.
    Eliminate now and forever renown decay. (Ok, just a pipe dream that!) At any rate, pick one that is easy to program go with it.

    They did say that people who spent points on lsot amenities could call Customer Service, wait on hold for hwoever long and get their points back, even if the call is from out of the country and costs far more than the lost points. They also offered to any and all the Turbine Store discount code "Ship75" which gives you 75% off store amenenties, is good for 10 purchases, and is valid till July 1st. A few good jestures... Except for calling CS line, for people from other countries at least.....

    This was an obvious bug that could've been 100% prevented had they bothered to properly test the patch before pushing it. This isn't one that was hard to find or notice, had they bothered to test the patch to a live client/live server software AND actually stepped onto a ship..
