Make LR Free

Simple concept, even though I know it's not going to happen. At least issue a Lesser Heart with each major game mechanics overhaul. This would be a really bold move that would be good for Turbine's image and would dull the pain and criticism of these huge updates.

Keep the multiple day cooldown in place of course. Character builds are a really big feature of this game and opening them up like that would be a smart move. Get people more engaged and give them room to maneuvre.

Let us play with our toys properly, this trend to force us to buy a fix in the DDO store after every update that completely breaks the pre-existing game mechanics, is quite frankly getting to be a bit cheeky and obnoxious.

+1 Lesser Heart once per month, and you have to go to a certain NPC to get it, that NPC requires answering a 10 question quiz based on DDO knowledge, which randomly pulls the 10 questions from a pool of 1,000.

The one that doesn't allow you to change anything but Skills and Feats, a regular Lesser Heart of Wood I think they are called. But I am thinking of just being able to go to the trainer and do an LR like we do an Enhancement respec, possibly with the same timer.

Sell all the other Hearts of Wood in the DDO store, hell even add a +20 Greater Heart of Wood for those who want to pay to bypass the XP grind. Let their deep pockets fund the game.

Turbine, you aren't properly harnessing the main feature of this game, which is character building. You need to be way more liberal with this aspect, trust me it will be a huge draw and keep people hooked forever.

Thanks Turbine, giving the free LR was a smart move.

Now consider mitigating some of the negative reaction you are going to recieve when the update goes live, by making LR a feature that can be bought with plat from a trainer, on a 3-day cooldown like an enhancement respec.

/notsigned to that last suggestion. It cheapens character builds to no end. One of the main features of DDO is that, without planning, most of the time you are left with an unredeemable gimp. In that case, why plan? I can just redo it next eeek if it' s gimp!

It would also increase the incentive to hoard gear you don't need. Oh, guild needs a tank for a raid tomorrow? I should just respec my pure dps kensai fighter and use gear I hoarded on him instead of giving it to people that were playing tank builds right when I pulled it!

Turbine is doing the right thing with the free lr thing, as was done in the spell pass by giving out blood of dragons. Don't try to make this game even easier than turbine is already making it.
