Vanishing DDO Points

A friend of mine is having an issue with DDO Points randomly vanishing. Last night 50 ddo points were removed from her account. No order number, no character selected. Now about an hour ago 25 more points have been removed, in the same fashion.

It's frustrating as she's trying to get up to 500 points to get the artificer class, and the fact they're disappearing is making that very challenging.

Anyone know what would cause DDO points to randomly remove themselves from an account?

It used to be that favor earned points expired after a year. That was supposed to have changed a couple updates ago though.

So then the best course of action then would be to submit a ticket asking if they are still expiring for some reason to see if they get reimbursed?

Maybe the account has been hacked and someone is cautiously siphoning them away along with a heap more accounts.

There's an old batman storyline where the joker steals all the 2-5 cents that get rounded off from bills/bank accounts and technically don't even exist anymore.
He boasted during his stereotypical villian victory (pre- defeat) exposition that even a few cents from everyone in the system still adds up to millions, and no one would notice, or care enough to chase up.

Whoever is taking your points is also probably responsible for the absence of my left socks.

With that screen shot it looks like your friend has everything they need to ask customer service why the points are removed, as it is showing it is being removed and when.

It's possible its a decay thing, I read the announcement about removing the Decay on favor earned points, but it could be read that newer points earned won't decay and older points are still decaying. Either way I'm sure customer service can answer the question and either resolve the issue with putting the points back or answer that it is WAI.

Seriously though, without a screenshot you didn't have "evidence" to show Turbine that something was wonky. Now you do.

Also be aware that it can take a few days to get an answer back about a ticket. And I would suggest you do it as soon as possible as next week I assume Turbine will be swamped with tickets.

I sent in an email via the support site, and the missing points were refunded to my account.
