roll with the punches man.
94 self buffed AC on a 6th life toon on live, step into the beta and I magically turn into a barb that gets hit every single time! totally /signed

New system not what I was hoping for, but vastly better than old.

I don't really like the Expansion's combat changes,
but a d20 system is no longer the way to go
if you don't like it, use the free respec they are giving you to change your character arround

but durnak has a better solution

Signed, new system seemed even more confusing than the last one.
Fix the ladders first.
/not signed. I have been having a lot of fun on the beta lately, more so than live. But i am pleasantly amazed at all the not signeds after all the doom threads claiming everyone will quit ddo the day of the release.

QUICK TALLY:
So it looks like the only people who signed this are maxed-out AC builds and casters who don't want to give up their god-like instakill death spells.
That's pretty much what I expected.
Personally, the new combat system has its own problems but is still an improvement.
Khyber: Iqus Tres (Half-Orc Barbarian 20 / Epic 5 / Legendary Dreadnought 5), Ixupi (Drow Sorcerer 20), Outlake (Warforged 7 Monk-in-progress), Petroglyph (Warforged Artificer 16)
Woot?
My highest AC character has like 65ish AC unbuffed. My sorcs have abysmal necro DCs, and my one PM wizard is stuck in TR at level 14-15 or something because I hate playing it.
I hate the new system because it devalues building and gearing, and steps away from D&D.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

I love all these 'the current system is BROKEN' posts. I've been listening to that garbage for two years and I can say it is a load of rubbish.
AC works fine until epic level content where it becomes all or nothing. 60ish AC noticeably mitigates damage through L18 content.
Tossing out the current system 'because it's broke' is a red herring and a bad reason to do so since only a small % of players play epic content. Obviously Turbine needed to do something to encourage more players to play epics and buy the expansion, but the system they've cobbled together isn't very good for a number of reasons that have been analyzed in other threads.
But it is what it is and nothing is going to change in the 11th hour to stop this train. With all the fun bugs and glitches that the players have already identified that we know are going to make it into live, the new AC and to hit systems will be the least of our problems.
The shadenfreude in me can't wait to see the threads that crop up next week.
Unfortunately(or fortunately), characters still get stronger when you have a better build as compared to a lousy one. Characters still get stronger with better gear as compared to no gear.
Perhaps we are stepping away from D&D, and that might be why it is called DDO instead of D&D. Majority of the people agree that the D20 AC system is flawed and this is the Dev's answer.
Like it or not, this petition will have no effect because it has already been decided that they will roll out the new package. Closed beta was out in May, Open Beta in June. Calling for a petition just before an update will prevent nothing from happening.

/signed, as long as they fix the problems with combat at high level - KISS.
But I expect that the game will now be far easier, so a lot of people will certainly like that.
He left the name, at which the world grew pale.
Definitely not signed.
Why do people want AC to be irrelevant except to the most extreme of min-maxers and for survivability to be solely about Shield Mastery and Toughness feats?
I welcome the end to cookie-cutter character defenses.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
