    Default GS Clickies x Rage

    Hi!

I am about to make my first GS item (accessory or weapon).

As far I know, while in rage, the barbarian can´t use any clickie.

    The question is:

Would not it be a waste of time, and raw materials, making a GS with clickie (like haste, panacea, stoneskin, blah blah blah)? Would not it be better to concentrate efforts to create GS items with guard only?

Barbarians needs to be 100% of time in rage to be efficients and adding the low AC to situation, Guard (like air guard = haste, earth guard sovereing rune = stoneskin) items would be better options than Clickies...

    Or not?

    =/

    Please, help.

You can dismiss rage, and then re-rage.

My barbarian has Shroud displacement clickables and they make a huge difference.

50% less incoming damage is incredibly nice. Especially since it stacks with the 50% Dodge boost barbarians will soon get.

Plus, soon displacement will be self-cast only, so those displacement clickables will be even more valuable.

But this way you are wasting a charge of precious and limited rage...

Improved Uncanny Dodge? But it only give you +6 AC, and not a 'miss chance'.

    =)

Uncanny Dodge: passively grants +1% Dodge at levels 4/6/8/12/16/20. Active now grants 50% Dodge, has a longer cooldown, and no longer has a counter.

By 11th or 12th level (earliest you can use a Shroud clickable), your rages should last long enough and you should have enough of them, that this isn't a problem for 98% of quests.

In a few days, when the expansion pack comes out, they are changing many things. Improved Uncanny Dodge, for instance, will give you 50% Dodge chance for 20 seconds every 2 minutes which stacks with 50% displacement, (and both stack with a 10% miss Ghostly item).

Plus armor will offer some damage reduction as well.

    Who needs a healer?

I have 2 on all my characters who can't cast it, but I made most of those during that year where there were no updates, and the only thing we all ran was Shroud every day.

Yes, go with displacement since now casters can only use it on theirselves. Haste is also nice too, in case that becomes self only.

Probably doesn't want to be the first GS weapon you make, but eventually when you have stacks of LDS in your ingredients bag you might want to make a triple positive Great axe (assuming as a barb thats what you use).

Triple pos weapons are cracking undead beaters, only cost a single supreme shard, also only cost 3 LDS to get to tier 3 and they have a very useful raise dead clickie... a TR with one of these rocks in the orchard!
