Default New Monk is confused need help !!

First of all I am new to the game , I played a ton of toons to 5 / 7 level and I really like the monk best. So, I want to push to higher level content and play. So , I bought the 32 point build , and 7 th start ( tired of low content ).

I have read a ton of post on how to build a monk, and there are soooo many different ways, I have seen dex ones, wis ones , and str ones etc. With the new expansion coming out ,does anyone have some good builds that can solo, and but not turned down for groups later ?

I want to be halfing ( they are cool ), I know everyone wants the half-elf , but they are ugly and not cool. I am leaning towards Dark more than Light.

Take a look at Anthios888's Rockan Robin halfling build. It's pretty much what you described and would appear to mesh well with the coming U14 changes.

    Best of luck!

When asked, "What are we going to do tonight?" the only acceptable answer is, "The same thing we do every night...Try to take over the world!"

I agree , just trying to get some feedback about this build

Looks like a well-rounded build. I have but two suggestions.

First, try to move your enhancements around to get ToD as early as possible; preferable level 9 or 10. The effectiveness of ToD is at its height levels 10 to 16.

Second, Stunning Blow at level 18 is not going to land very often with your strength even using +10 stunners. Perhaps Precision would be a better choice. The last U14 beta release notes indicate that it has been given a boost by dropping the damage penalty while retaining the fort bypass and to-hit bonus. However, that may change with the next swing of the nerf bat if it proves to be too enticing.

You've got a solid build. I hope you enjoy her.

    Best of luck!

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

    Really?

I wonder about this, because as fun as the Rockan Robin build was, one of the things that made it a strong build was good, not unhittable, armor class and high DC's on all of the special strikes like Stunning Fist and Quivering Palm.

The new changes to "to hit", armor class, physical resistance, etc. have me essentially mystified. At least there's the free lesser reincarnation available so you can try to fix it once. I'm leery of recommending Rockan Robin, because it was a compromise build based on a very different set of rules and assumptions. YMMV.
