My first posts were fairly forgettable, as most new forum posters are, asking advice on builds, or laughing at some of the wikkid comedy we see a lot on the forums. I did a lot of lurking back then.

I hope I've offered the occasional good piece of advice or idea. Though often perhaps the opposite has happened.
Well yes, I've done my share of "Noob moves" and uncertainty with forum posts. LOTS of "whats this do? Hows it do that?" and plenty of build ideas/questions. LOTS of "What were you thinking Wolf" Moments for me.
I've for SURE had a position I firmly believed in on many fronts. I've had many of my positions change because of excellent points, provided information and changing DDO. I like to think I've "Matured" on the forum front. Well, Matured or not, I'm still likely to feel strongly about something and put a questionable thread out there! Only to realize I've written it while "wound up" and its poorly written and hard to understand the core of what I'm trying to get at.
I don't like providing misinformation or over analyzing a subject (or vice versa) or complete miss of relevant information that a better search on my part would reveal.
Whenever I do this I try to remember the self taught lesson.
Hopefully I see my folly EVERY time I do it, though I know better of myself. I Edit my Threads and posts often. Correcting them or making em less offensive to a group of players, make it more informative or whatnot. Often wishing I could change the Title.

When I REALLY embarrass myself, I just give up posting for a little bit and lurk. :-)
At least no one has asked me to be rid of my separating ~Tildes~ yet~

I've heard it said that it takes one thousand hours of practice to master a musical instrument. If that's true, does it take one thousand posts to become a forums pro? Congrats!

As an Aussie i'll give you a high five: not for the 1000th post but for putting up with ddo using crappy infrastructure.
I had to move to Sweden to escape that kind of lag fest.

Time zone here is about 9 hours behind so that's a massive lag in itself.

As an Aussie who moved to PA I am behind too, and to make things worse, I had to make new friends on DDO!?!?! <== I know Doom right, makes even world hunger seem less Do0o0o0om(ish) doesn't it :P

but yeh high 5 on the 1k posts, there are only like 3 people above me in this thread with under 1000 posts >_< and i am the 4th who has under 1000
