    Default My first try Pure Artificer

    I was looking for a build and i found Wowo's Einstein. i took that as base, and would like some pointer/sugestions. thanks in advance.

    This is second life, first is FVS. I can do canith crafting, and already have a Concordant opposition +45hp necklace. What would be a good crossbow? the only raids i can get into regularly are ToD,Reavers and Shroud.

    Here is the build. Enhancements are just what i got on the fly.

    first problem i see with that build, it will not qualify for the new epic archery feat (need 21 on dex).

    i recently TR'ed my Arti and i started with 18 dex, 16 con, 16 int. +2 dex book + 1 raise from leveling.

    Hello m8, I have some notices to make for you. All the following are from my point of view and from my experience playing an artificer.

    1) No need to be lawful good in a level 20 arti, better go true neutral
    2) No need for spell penetration feat so there is one free feat slot here
    3) No need to spend a feat on umd. Second feat slot freed here

    4) i would put the remaining points in constitution and not strength. Yes you must be careful at low levels not to get burden. with a strength item from cannith crafting early on you will be more than ok.

    5) I do not suggest starting with 16 dex without a +3 tome since i think that Precise shot and Improved precise shot are very useful for an artificer and you have not taken them so i suggest to start with 17 dex (since you state that you have +2 tomes) and take the 2 feats mentioned above.

    6)Enhancements: Here you must choose according to your gameplay. If you want to focus on dealing dps with repeaters and rune arm and viability with your pet and of course self healing with reconstruct you should raise force manipulation and critical lines (the famous 7/6/6 or 7/1/1) if you want your BB to do some serious damage and play with Lucid Dreams runearm. If you have Toven's Hammer then raise lightning line as well. As i see it there are 3 lines important here: Force (BB and Lucid), Lightning (Toven's hammer), Repair (obvious reconstruct). You can raise enough only 2 of them. That depends on you.

    7) Weapons of course are repeaters. at low levels really anything is more than enough. Since you have cannith crafting levels make a holy of undead bane for undeads till you get the silver slinger at level 16 for them
    Wounding of puncturing are great for leveling as are weakening of enfeebling. At level 12 you know a good dps weapon is the Lit II greensteel repeater. From there and after you can craft anything for evil outsiders, constructs and so on. I think it is pretty straightforward.

    Hope i gave you some info that proves helpful.

    Tyvm guys, i didnt know i dont need spell penetration. not even the blade barrier?
    I dont think im going epic levels in the near future with this. i just want to play an artificer, but dont want it to be very crappy neither.
    im going to try again on the builder.
    about enhacements, it will take a while to get to 15, so i guess ill play with them a litle more.
