So I have to admit, I haven't always/ever been one to sing any praises to the in-game support. I had an issue today that I will leave vague (dunno how ToS might apply). I really thought I was going to get zero help on it. Initially, my fears were supported, as I got the standard "Submit a big ticket" and "Sorry, I can't help you with that". However, either customer service is getting a major buff at Turbine, or I got "that guy" who actually took a good deal of time to research a problem, explain it, and offer to fix it.
The bottom line was that I messed up, even though I originally didn't think I did. I looked at the issue with the GM and realized I had done a totally innocent, but totally my fault blunder...and not a little one...a big one. A big one to the toon of a month or so of gaming to fix it. Not cool.
When it was all said and done, it was fixed. It was fair. It made sense. I got my slap on the wrist for being dumb, but also had my issue resolved. If there was a way to do it, I would totally write an at-a-boy to my GM's boss. I was impressed.
So for those of you who think the in-game support never works, I learned today that it does (at least if you get the GM I got today). I have to say that my faith is somewhat restored in the in-game system and I appreciated the way this was handled.
Signed,
A former in-game support doubter.
