    Default I don't get it....

i keep reading these threads. and i keep wondering if people are playing the same game that i am playing. based on the things i read my guess is no.

i have yet to play any of my toons that i did not notice were substantially stronger.

My toons include my level 20 cleric, fvs, wizard, artificer, sorcerer, and my paladin.

now there are things about each toon that i notice are "nerfed" from live. but for every thing i find that is "nerfed" i find 3 aspects that are buffed.

and as far as the gap between melee and blue bars? yes. it is greater than i have ever seen it. the blue bars are on a whole other level. well maybe not. i play a dos paladin. while his killing power is very limited, he is a complete and total colossus in the xpac. he takes very little damage. and the only serious issue i see with him right now is that the dev's have ruined ----and i mean RUINED---- combat expertise.

I totally agree with you here... and as we advance to 25 it becomes even more pronounced. My suggestion to people is to actually play on Lam and level completely to 25 open all destines and test things.

I find that my melee Lord of Blades is a Juggernaught of Destruction, especially with the Adamantine body feat. With Unyielding Sentinel, there isn't much that can kill him short of Epic Elite.

what i find funny is that people were up in arms that it is BS to nerf a one button everything in the room is now dead spell...

but it is perfectly reasonable to put a 9 second cooldown on a spell that normally has a 3 second cooldown.

and best part is that the only class that REALLY relies on the spell is a paladin. A class who gets shortchanged over and over again due to being a "self healing" melee. its just lacking any kind of logic to me.

Good to hear that that's working out well for melee FvS...I wanted to test it, but my FvS won't copy.

On another track...overall (especially now that the hard to kill stuff is gone), I feel all of my characters are potentially much stronger with this update, though there are some things that need addressing (such as MCL on spells), but especially for my melees, I feel my character has gotten significantly more powerful...I'm just hoping there's some new gear worthy of unseating my current equipment (as fun as claw/abishai/etc equip is, it does get a bit old).

My sense is that the people doing most of the complaining haven't spent much time actually playing the beta to try things out (how could they with the number of posts per hour they put out?). I agree that all my toons seem much better. I tend to think it would be best if both other players and turbine largely ignored comments that were purely conjecture (and yeah, I'm guilty of it also), and focused on feedback based on actual play.

heck even i am a little guilty. im complaining about the combat expertise revamp in another thread. but i didnt read the notes then start crying. im actually playing it and finding that WHEN/IF i need to rely on my self heals, they are completely unreliable and just plain not helpful with 9 second cooldowns.

of course, im getting trolled about it. but thats ok.

I want to! I really do!

For some reason, my Bard went through to Lama, and neither one of my Clerics would copy. Makes me sad, although I do like the Fatespinner stuff.
