Default All round good at wands/scrolls

I was wondering if there is a build for a Monk that can use cleric/fvs wix/sorc wands/scrolls?

I know Helf may be the best (or said is the best) with cleric dilly but is there a way to and in the other side of using wands/scrolls cause i can see how some things i as a drow monk lvl 20 is kinda a bad build. And how, if i had my own CC would help in a few different instances.

Anyways if anyone has any input it would be very helpful.Be it good or bad i dont care I'm bout to TR so i can use all the help i can get from you experts on what to do when i do TR. I'm looking froward to it and would love to mack the most of it.

Note: i have read wiki aLOT and read forums daily but still cant find the answers im looking for or i happened to not see them... All ideas are welcome.

    Thx!

Are you going to TR right away once you hit cap or are you planning on staying at cap for a while?

I kinda lost you a bit durring your post, do you want to make a drow?

What do you have available (tomes, PL's, gear, races, classes)?

What is your goal of this build (tank, solo build, party support, ect)?

With this info we can help you out way more.

You cannot reliably CC with wands and scrolls. Your spell pen and DC will both be atrocious, and you can't get the really good CC spells off the shelf.

However, you can very reliably CC with your fists, because you are a monk. Get Stunning Fist, Stunning Blow, go light side for more options. Get stunning wraps (Vampiric Stonedust Wraps are really good if you can get your Heal Amp high enough to turn them from 1 to 2 or even 3), ideally get the Spare Hand belt from the challenges.

The use of wands/scrolls is really just buffing and healing once you get past the early levels. This shouldn't be read as dismissive, because those buffs and heals can be extremely powerful. It's just not quite what you're looking for.

Not the best build in the world (or the most thought out), but it should give you what you want. I left you 5AP to play with, and you could easily get buy with trading out one of the toughness feats for something eles (skill focus UMD or CE?). CC with your fists, buffs, and heals with your scrolls from UMD/cleric dil. You also might be able to pull off opening some locks here and there.

1 I've ben capped for some time now so i'm making plans on TRing.

2 No i am a drow right now, and it been much fun though i could see going drow again some day. As for now i plan on TRing into a Pure Monk Half Elf for the dilly be it Cleric or Rouge. As for tomes i have a few +2 mainly Dex, Con, an Str tough i might have one other or a one of those is a different stat. No PL's. Gear let me see I have epic stonedust wraps most of the named wraps (lacking the ones from Marbar, Challenges, Necor, Hound(HoX) and there might be others i can't think of right now) (but i'd like to get the Quarterstaff from SoS + that would help the favor, i'm very very close to 3K just 255+ out for that. still working on epic Spectral gloves, i have Garments of Equilibrium, the DM's set, and id got on but it be better to write up a list so ill work on that for next post. Bought Monk unlocked Drow unlocked Favored Soul bought 32 point build from day one that should be it.

3 This is hard to answer so here it goes. I think im more of a Tank support right now but i do run a not of solo and if im thinking about it i try to buff the party some. So what to do now, id still like to solo things but also still help the tank or in some instances be the Tank, I do move a lot in big mobs cause i try to stun jade and dismiss. So i guess it comes down to bought the same build in some ways. If that don't help answer i'll think on it more.

4 I want to say thank you for taking a look and your opinion/advice.

edit: The one GS item i have is a Helm Air/Fire Heal Amp all 3 tiers with displacement.

note: i've got 2 more Shroud runs to for so i will get the Cleansing Essence before i TR. Hope top have this done by this weekend Favor included but need a few more leet runs of some higher lvl quests/raids .

One more thing how do i add more then one quote in the same post?

I've got a tactics monk/fighter split and he's a beast / blast to play. I strongly encourage it if you want to try full tactics.

For a pure monk ... itemization is what it's all about for getting a high enough UMD.
