Default Necropolis flagging sigil: Make it like TOR scales.

So, I've been TRing for the past 3 months now. And everytime, before I tr, I have to make a new sigil farming the necro quests at level 20 or else I'll have trouble (or simple will be bored) with it when I'm level 16. And this is a major problem of necro 4 I think.

I think those quests are great, seriously, but getting a whole sigil is such a pain.

My suggestion: make the sigil drop rates scale with difficulty like tor scales. On normal, you get 100% for 1 sigil piece, hard 200% for 2 sigil pieces, elite 300%, 3 sigil pieces.

This would bring us to not repeat the quests more than we should/want AND still flag for litany. Because, as you might know, litany is one of the REALLY FEW quests for level 17. Or, at least, one of the few really worth it.

Farm the Orchard - all sigils have a chance to drop from any orchard rare chest. With a few party members to up the chances of seeing sigils in the chest you should be able to get a completed sigil without ransacking the caravan and rat chests.

Also runing the flagging quests with at least 3-4 people really improves your chances -as well as running as many of the optionals in said Necro 4 quests. Vol comes to mind as the optional is easy as one of the best sigil farming spots.

That being said me and my friends have never had any issues with completing a sigil over multiple lives and I think the drop rate is just fine - especially since any sigil can drop from any chest now.

Thing is, while I do it while leveling, I really don't wanna spend hours and hours farming orchard with XP pots going. Not much exp or zero at all.

Also, I farm the occasional rare while doing necro 4 quests and I've NEVER ever seen a sigil drop from there, so kinda lost the hope. Upping the chance on elite would make the flagging a little bit less painful than now imho.

The orchard flagging quest are almost all amazing xp per minute, with the exception of inferno. Even inferno is worth running elite-hard-normal though if you know it. Temple of Vol is one of the best quests in the game if you have 3 or more people and can split up, with one going right, one left, and one for the optional. From a Vol xp farm alone you should fill 5 of your 8 sigil slots. The only one I can see somebody maybe having trouble with is the inferno one, if everybody in your group needs it and you end up having bad luck with the chest. At worst you might have to run that one a few extra times for lower than average (but still decent) xp.

Well dont farm the orchard on a pot - go in when it expires. Theres plenty of xp at lvl and as I said take more than yourself into the area. Also on elite in full party I almost always 80-90% see at lease 1-2 sigil pieces per chest. Skunking on sigils is extremely rare.

All pieces drop in all chests now. Vol alone with a full party should get you 7ish pieces. You stand a better chance of getting the static (old static) from that quest but pieces 1-4 will drop in any and all chests in any and all quests now.

I know they are all amazing xp/min. I also like them a lot. But after the 10th time with just left and right wings, it gets frustating.

I duo them, up to 7 runs already done of VoL in less than 10 mins.

However, 1 sigil piece per time, we got: 2 left wings, 4 right wings, 1 right pincer.

Inferno: Done just once for now: 1 left wing, 1 left pincer.

FMLaboratory: Left wings again (and my statement: "You gotta be kidding me!")

    Gop: not done yet.

I don't know how lucky you are guys, but it really is frustating. Farming orchard rares is also boring. Rats, caravan, recall, reform, rinse repeat. It really is boring.

For the record, that's not farming orchard rares. That's farming rats and caravan.

Yeah, it's boring, but you don't have to do it. There's 13 other rares you could hit each run for some variety.

Still, farming rats and caravan is much faster than whole orchard, isn't it? That map is big, while you have run the whole, you could have also farmed rats and caravan 15 times+.

I know I don't have to do it. In fact, as I said, I farm rares very little. Only the ones on the way to the quests.

I'd like to farm the quests but having 2 sigil pieces after the 7th time I've run VOL is a bit frustating. With the chance to have 3 sigil pieces on elite (also 2 would be fine, guaranteed thou on elite) would make it a bit faster and less painful.

while I can understand the pain of not being able to complete a sigil (my first one took 3 ransacks of all quests to get the last 'random' piece, but that was before the change to droplocations), currently it's more then fine. Like you I've been TR'ing a lot lately, but farm out ghosts and vol a lot, and I end up with 5 complete sigil piece sets at this point in time (6th life), and up to 19! of some pieces (1st and 4th pieces), the only one that I can't consistantly pull in bulk is the fleshmaker one.

Drop rates are fine, if you increase the droprates to much it'll just end up with everyone leaving their pieces anyways. (should be able to complete a frame without to much hassle these days.)

Luck has nothing to do with it. Stop duoing and bring at least 2 more people with you. A full party would be better but 4 alone will most likely get you the sigil. Most people that would join you are probably only looking for 1 or 2 pieces and are there for xp more than anything else.

I completely disagree. I wouldn't cry if they change the flagging mechanic but with pieces dropping in slayer chests in addition to the quest it's only been on rare occasions where I need to run a quest more time than I had originally planned. As a TR farming out Ghosts, Fleshmakers, and Vol is some of the best XP per minute in the game.
