Default Experience and greater learning tomes in epic levels

So simple enough question.... With the update will the devs be changing the tomes of learning to give their xp bonus in the new epic levels?? At the moment they say that they do not apply after lvl 20

No, they were always advertised, sold, and intended for Heroic XP only. They never said that they would apply to Epic XP, nor do I think they will consider having them apply to Epic XP.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

They 100% hard-locked them against working in epic xp on purpose.

    For a reason.

The expansion already costs $50 if you want full content.

They dont wannt force another X dollars out of people pockets for xp tomes to enjoy the new content at the same pace as other players.

Everyone levels at the same speed in epic.

Except XP potions, tho 20% ones are available without spending a dime if you know where to look anyways.

I only know about the cannith challenge 10% ones, where can I find 20%?

I'm a pretty slow at quests so store bought doesn't feel worth it to me (since I don't rush in quests they don't last that many quests).

Correct on the effect, wrong on the reason.

The reasons is obviously "why sell one exp tome to a character when we can sell two?", and it makes perfect sense.

If you look at your character sheet where the little heroic exp tome icon is, you'll notice there is enough room right next to it for a second little book icon. This will be the epic experience tome icon spot, will likely cost about 1k pts, and will appear in the DDO store sooner or later (my bet is on sooner, within 3-6months of epic levels hitting live).

Aye, most likely. I'm wondering how long it will be before they decide to offer the auto level up stone in the DDO store as well. I'm hoping they don't, but I'm not going to bet against it.

My guess is that with the Xpack will come an ability that lets you use more than one stone per account.

Actually one thing I noticed in beta is that when I took my monk (lv20) thru the spinner chain on normal I got xp, and I think I got the bonus xp from the tome from it for first time completion. But I am not sure because it was a while ago and xp was scaled on the server anyway. I might need to look at it again.

It didn't surprise me much because I wasn't running the epic verison of it so I just thought "Oh, the tome still applies to heroic content, even if the character is epic."

It that is actually true and WAI I could see some people grinding some level 19 quests to get that bonus, but I think MadFloyd said the epic quests are supposed to deliver considerably more xp than heroic quests anyways, so even with the bonus (if it applies) it might not be worth it.
