Default Epic Levels & Epic Destinies?

I have tried to make sense of several threads here which concern epic levels and/or epic destinies but I seem to be lacking the basic framework as to how epic levels and destinies interact (if they do).

Is there a simple description of how epic destines and epic levels work?

So far I think it works like this:

Epic levels 21-25 are similar to the current levels, except that these are generic levels where you do not get a class choice when levelling up. I guess you get more HP, more SP, more skills, better saves and to-hit etc with each level. You gain these levels similar to before, i.e. you get Xp from questing etc.

Alongside the epic levels you can take (one or more) epic destinies. Epic destinies would appear to be a sort of skill-tree where you choose from abilities which you have qualified for. How do you qualify for these abilities? Is there a separate XP score for epic destinies? How many can you take? Are the destinies available linked to epic level?

    Any clarifications would be appreciated.
Ghallanda (Ex-Keeper, Ex-Boldrei, Ex-Beta). Mad-1 Leo (Rog), Oaksfist (Rgr/Rog), Booted (Brd), Dawnsinger (Ftr), Preying-1 (Fvs), Gibbery (Rog/Rgr), Sloped (Pal), Bugged (Wiz)

I am not one for explaining well...especially when my brain hasn't fully woken up (mmm coffee). I My self haven't tested Twists of Fate, but just pure Destiny's.

Epic levels are seperate from destiny's. You get base 10hp per lvl, +1 to all skills per level (including UMD) 2 feats (lvl21 &24), 1 Attribute point at 24 adn as to SP, I am not sure. Now on my main I've been playing with, I am not sure if the 10hp per level is there. Too lazy to do the math.

Destiny's are on a totally different system then Epic Levels. You can have them all, it will just take a lot of time and effort to do that. One way is to max a destiny out & TR on to the next. The other way to open up new ones is to twist of fate. This will mean you won't have any at Cap & the max you can get in any destiny is tier 4 (out of 6). But you can get all that way. I was Dev leveled in Destiny's & currently have 5 available & 8 Twists.
You are allowed 24 points per destiny, but if you use a twist, that eats up points available to that destiny. But then you get to use new points on your next destiny.

I hope someone can explain this better then me, for my explanation my be flawed & I may be off on My understanding. My top tier in Grandmaster of Flowers is too good to give up.
