Default We control our own reality

The qauntum world is controlled by us.

We can also control a video game to do what we want at that moment in time that is a nano-second or .000001 second before it happens. Even thought the game will not allow it or wants it!

    We are Us.

Even if it be positive or negative to us completing a quest. WE ARE IT!

your response tells me you would rather go with humor than to understand and that is ok. You are a minion to me.

    Wink Brain hack

Humor is far funnier than the alternative, and requires no proof to substantiate opinionated claims.

We control the output of our brains for sure, but trying to do that to the combined pseudo reality of an mmo would seriously break game mechanics.

If someone believes the opposite of another who believes just as much, then the only paradox is that truth is not dependant on our perception of it.

I could be wrong of course: always willing to admit that my knowledge base is less than absolute, and more likely obsolete in the light of as yet unknown information.

    Default Flex 'til it snaps

Actually some things like: 'I am confident/scared' are self fulfilling prophecies that can change reality.

It's just decisions like: 'I believe my character did. It just get one shotted' or 'the earth is flat' that are taken out of our hands.

There is no my reality. There is no your reality. There is only reality. If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, it does make a sound.

There is however my perception of reality and your perception of reality. If your perception of reality is very different from what is reality, that's called delusion.

The only certainty is that something is thinking.
Once upon a time, I was part of a team, and we saved some children. That was long ago and far away, and, yes, I am that old.

Quantum theory is being disproved (or at least strongly challenged) on multiple fronts. Newtonian theory is coming back in a big way in the subatomic realm, with the advent of new (semi)Unified Force theories. Plank's constant may soon be deemed completely false....

Don't think too much, we don't have a clue how the universe works.

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Granted, some of this stuff is fringe, and some of it is VERY fringe (crackpot?). However, applying newton to some subatomic behaviors has yielded fruit. Point is, we just don't really know anything, so no holds are barred.

If you're saying "science evolves", then ok.
If you're saying "reality is up for grabs!", then ... good luck with that.

I'm saying there's not much difference. Using the ol' 'Circle of Knowledge' analogy, where the circumference of the circle of our understanding represents the frontier of what we don't know, and that as our understanding grows, so does that frontier, then it's a yes to both. Science evolves, therfor Reality is up for grabs.

Hold on a second here, I think this particular point-of-view is equivocating determinism and predicatability. To say that applying newtonian mechanics to subatomic behaviors has yielded fruit is going too far. Rather, when you remove gravitation effects from certain quantum models, they can predictably reduce to newtonian models. That's not a surprise. Furthermore, to say that we don't know anything is about as far from the truth as you can get. We know an extraordinary amount, but at our current horizon of experience, the complete universe is far more extraordinary than that. And to say no holds are barred is just completely wrong. Not everything is possible, in fact we know that most things that can be imagined are impossible. But even so, there are hard limits on the information we can currently extract from physical phenomena. We hope to break through those limits using technology, and have historically shown great success in doing so. To essentially say that nothing has been accomplished because we have not accomplished it all is remarkably cynical, and gives far too little credit to the levels of understanding that humanity has already achieved. And I wish the expansion pack would come out soon, I'm totally ready to wale on some drow.
