Ran a Barb to 20, TR'd to a fighter to 20 with all crit's upped to max, geared up to max crit, ran with Terror greatsword, what a wonderful way to help the group get the mobs killed. Proc rate is awesome.
Got a sorc at 2nd life lvl 20, and felt that fighter build was closest melee to being on level with arcane casters.
My 3rd life FVS has no where near the killing ability as any of the above builds, but he can hold his own, and works with the group to keep red bars up so party can survive. Different party makeup build.
All of this is to show that I've played several different builds, and not (yet) a wiz PM.
As for OP suggestion, I feel this is better way to go than the other suggestions imo. I like the idea to "up" the melee classes viability at end game content.
As for the easiest way to "fix" the problem (which I don't agree is a problem to begin with) is to downgrade a particular build, not signed.
