Default Where does it go from here?

Looking over EDs get me wondering, where does the system lead and what opportunities does it provided for continued character advancement. I know that the designers have suggested that the epic level cap will continue to rise, but what about EDs? Will they get new tiers? How is that progression supposed to work.

There are currently 9 EDs. It takes 2.5 million XP to max out an ED. Even if someone decides that they want to max every possible ED, after 22.5 million XP there is nothing left for that person to do with the character. Do the developers anticipate that further progression will come through the release of new EDs? Will they add tiers? Will there be some new advancement scheme altogether (we already have PrEs, and EDs, so now something else)?

I'm just curious. The design of the EDs doesn't appear to account for more tiers, so that has me puzzled. Perhaps it seems premature to ask these questions now, but I firmly believe that you need to plan for expansion before implementing any new system. If you don't, you get things like the Epic system which are unsustainable for the long-term growth of the game.

More ED's, more Epic Levels. Then it's a TR game again while we wait. Or til the game dies, whichever comes first.

I'm guessing that 2 months before the next level cap increase, the devs will frantically set about rewriting all of the destinies to work over 10 levels, instead of 5, pushing back many abilities to higher levels.

Lol. I hope not I'd love to hear what their plans are, though.
