One of the recent changes is in Lolth's beam targetting. Lolth's eyebeams will not target Ana if there are any other valid objects for her to hose down.

The number of traps in this screenshot is epic, but unintentional. This is a bug.

Wow. I wasn't sure you could top having the highest level raid in the game be an escort quest, but you've managed to do it. Having the amount of chests you'll get for completing tied to how well you 'protect' some miserable AI means that that screw this raid. Seriously. Unless there is a khopesh in there that is 100(W), with a crit range of 5-20 and a multiplier of x9001 that has holy burst, acid burst, flaming burst, icy burst, force burst and shocking burst, is made of adamantine and has the metalline and aligned property, plus 2 of every single epic slot it will suck.

It feels like you told us how to solve this Flimsy. That doesn't feel right. & I believe I do remember some of her dialog from my 1st/only completion.

The idea is that the fact of raid completion is not as important as group performance. It's supposed to give you a stretch goal.
You are saying that this needs to be a group effort & not short-manned. You are trying to make a raid where the more options from different classes, the better we can do.
At the artifacts, Torso - Ranged/Casters. Legs - Melee. Rogues & Arties on traps when they pop or else combat with assorted body parts. Essentially the same with divines & bards. And whatever assorted new destiny effects/abilities. Working fast & cohesively on assigned roles.?.

I know Ana isn't PC healable, but is she buffable? She is nigh invincible, but can we add to that? Has anyone tried?
I think I've figured a way to get through the last two platforms faster, requires 2 monks (at least on normal). Still will be red names, but at this time the guardians are still orange.

This makes it doable even more so in keeping her healthy, if that is whats required. From all the comments, it seems so.

This is so much simpler then Coyle. Coyle dies in three hits. I can see us doing this in around 2 hours Thursday with the optional.

I haven't looked through all the pages in this thread, but just so you know, I was in that group, and that was a small fraction of the wards in there.

I generally don't give hints like this on the forum, but there is very limited time to make changes and I need to see more valid feedback, since you guys didn't make much progress, I felt that the explanation of loot mechanic was warranted in this particular case.

Oh and hey, beta. If you didn't want spoilers, you wouldn't be in it, right?

Is it too late to change it so it's not some ridiculous escort quest, or has that ship sailed already?

don't forget it needs to have nightmare on it as well and cast mass heal on the party every hit.

That ship has sailed, came back, sailed again, got raided by pirates, became a pirate ship, got cursed to chase after the Flying Dutchman for three centuries, got exorcised to fight in the American Civil War (as part of the Union blockade), then got modernized to fight in both World Wars, participated in the D-Day landing and is a decommissioned museum/restaurant now in Key West, Florida.

Buy a new ship then I've yet to talk to anyone that has said "I'll still run the raid", everyone I've talked to has said well not going to bother running that then.

Isn't it hard to get people to run the raid when A.) the flagging takes a long time and B.) the server is down? Why is the server down, anyway? What could cause an emergency downtime on a test server?

I want to beat this. We will beat this. We are aching for the pay-off. We are greedy for new improved awesome s**t. We want to have challenge & fun at the same time. We do not want disappointment.
I do not believe there will be disappointment.
This raid, as of now & until we understand it better...is annoying. Hopefully with more cohesion & tactics we will triumph and there will be much rejoicing.

This raid, once we know what/how to go about it & the end result is worth it...will be run. This isn't MA/LoB where the wilderness area is the drawback. You have direct access through the cave. The xp (1st time from casual w/deaths w/out optional & i guess low health) was 10k...low imo.

I will run this until we see whats in there...for our greedy lil selves. Fun, grouping, camaraderie, thrill, challenge, xp, story... in the end.. we really want to see "Whats in the box?!"

Too bad you can't implement a mechanic where Anna is treated like a companion hireling, controllable like a hireling and with an easy view of her health among the party list. It would eliminate the many headaches that spring up with escort quests.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find an authentic non-cursed 9th century Viking longship in good condition?
