oh ya. Bah! *slaps side of head*
Forgetful & old age.
It has some good points, but needs a little tweaking.
Loot is an issue for sure. and using an existing mapped area is a low point.
Most I've talked to said, "not hard enough, and boring"
I'm personally 50/50 on it
Sad to report this raid uses the wrong music.
Should be this: Dream Theater from 17 years ago - I'm sure that makes it public domain and somehow suitable for a Fantasy setting.

Regarding this...
We will go back in tomorrow to try again. Unfortunately today didnt happen even tho we got all the optionals. Let me show you a few reasons why. The pictures dont tell half the story.

Now this shows us right at the end. All optionals done. You can see a few spellwards there. Now let me show you this.

These pictures are a very VERY weak illustration of the sheer number of the spellwards that we had. We literally had minefields going from close to initials landing point ALL the way to the end zone. In the 6 hours or so we spent in there on that run I drank over 350 silver flame pots. Something wierd happened with the optionals. We were doing fine with 4 of us until we got till about the 7th 8th optional then the thing just would not die. We were beating on legs for 30 minutes (no exaggeration). We tried different tactics, getting anna back etc etc. We ended up moving on to the next optional and I think this might be why the minefields started.
Minefields aside:
1. Each optional fight...12 times...same thing every time. Each with those eyebeams. And if you are blocked incoming spellwards. Our one rogue initially had problems keeping up with the pace of them. Not only is the pace of them very quick BUT they are un-tabbable. He physically had to click on them make sure they werent counted as being 'blocked' - an all to common occurence by the sounds of it. But seriously this fight.... every time any chance we can very it up some? I think those leg beating optionals are possibly some of the most irritating fights in the game.
2. Anna - She can still be bumped to islands that cannot be negotiated from. It wasnt the spellwards that came up that stopped us. It was ****ing anna. And the ****ing hand. That hand. Man. Over 30 minutes sure I can handle it. But when you go for that optional, with all the slow effect spellwards, hampered from excessive silver flame pot usage.... that hand is the devil.
3. Anna and shrines. Going for the optional means resources. Problem is anna gets messed up in those fights so cannot provide more rest shrines. Dont need em when you arnt going for the optional - but you have them available as she takes very little damage. Go for the optional and they are not available.
I love a challenge. I will be the first person to ask for things to be harder. This wasnt hard. This optional business was a pain in the ***. We will be going back in tomorrow or the next day to grab the optionals again and try one thing differently (there is only one thing that could possibly change this outcome) and will let you know. As it stands...

I will again try. Sometimes i live for punishment in hell...and well this was with all of our deaths again. 17 again for me. whoopie!
The Spell wards were too insane. with a small group, it was fine, but they do not go away. having them on a timer..3 min/5min(?) would be helpful. Also & primarily..Slow. The Slow from those things is the most inane and annoying aspect. Even saving from all the effects from all of them..slow doesn't get a save (it seems). If you are going to use slow, have them only on one type (maybe how it is, but doesn't seem like it). Also the speed at which she lays them out..super fast. seemed alot also came with each leg coming down.
There was one of the Garistos(sp?) that got stuck in one of the protruding bone spurs at one of the artifact spots that couldn't we target or it us.
The more people came into the raid, the more it got worse. There definitely is a scale to this. There were 3 people in the raid when i joined. they had been going for an hour already... I ran it for the next five. I am glad that this is in beta and all the cheap goodies on the Store..In live, i can not afford to do this at all.
I hope the new build tuesday will fix many of these problems...like the eye beams of DooOOoom! at least it will be diff damage from before and maybe mitigated more so then non stoppable force beams. The Force is strong with her...wrong game though.
so until the next time...or i write here again....
DR.
*edit* I thought i had screen shots as well, but the only one i actually got was with some of us dead and.. not worth posting. will do better next time around.
I only caught the tail end of this and really didnt get to do anythign but have my computer locked up in spellward spammage. I wasn't on my better system but seriously spell wards spammed this often all over the place is a bit ridiculous. I went to worst settings available and still couldnt move once I got caught up in the wards everywhere.
I was at the last one to quit this raid... my 2nd attempt with the last one having everyone just give up..... I switched to Unyielding Sentinal (more HP) so I could survive the eye beams... made a big difference....
After everyone left I took the time to photoshop this... I might have missed something... I hope it helps...

Joined at the 250ish min. mark and was amazed at the sea of wards from start to end... It would of took a group of 12 trappers hours to disable all the wards...
Here is my screen shot:
God rest the brave souls that tried to heal and fight in that quagmire. Also we got to the end fight, but due to spell wards and eye beams of cheapness it was hard to keep grouped and mount a successful charge.
Also I would like to note, Lolths hand seems to have a the best of timing to slap people into the void on the stupid web bridges... We tired kiting and intimidating the hand but it tends to jump to random people after awhile.
Also the raid is re-enter-able and you might need to get into the Demon Web to enter the raid.
I was in this Groupd last Night(was the Arti),so fast this stupid Wards pop up u cant disable them.Think i used around 300 Tools till we give up.
I make a test after End when most gone,to disable Way to End,takes me around 15-20 min to make a Save Route and near the End the Hand start attacking me so i get wiped again from the Island.
For me i was short to Cry and if this Raid comes out this way i dont Play it when it come Life its only a waste of major Pots,Scrolls and Potions.
When im Possible i come again today,so i go to work after Raid(from germany so mad time for me)
Checking ot get me a Posion Immunity Item :P

Yea they all crush you with a no-save AOE slow. It's horrible and needs to go, not only in the raid but in all of the new quests.
No-save effects are NOT fun turbine. Please stop putting them in the game.
Put a DC80 save on it for all I care, just give us a saving throw please!
I was the first rogue in this nightmare before I switched back to my FVS to make a dash through the mine field :P
My biggest complaint as a rogue is that the spell wards 9 times outta 10 are "BLOCKED" by absolutely nothing. It is like a sad game of ring around the rosie running around the **** spell wards trying to "click" on the right spot to initiate the disable bar. The runes cannot be tabbed which makes this all the more frustrating. The issue is further compound by two things, one being the leg and the other the rate that they spawn.
As I began to disable a trap the leg would smash and I would fail my save and be on the ground for awhile.....I have an un-buffed 54 balance :/
The next issue revolved around the spawn rate. As I disabled one, 2-3 more would simply appear and I went from trying to DPS the legs, to this sad game of merry go round that is disabling the spell wards. The issues with spell wards extends to all the quests they are found in throughout faerun. Imagine if the spell wards where on epic elite... and no one in the raid would have been alive because they hit for at least 400 damage every 2 seconds. If a rogue is seriously trying to disable these in a timely fashion on epic elite he will wipe his party when he encounters these issues.
At the 4 hour mark with the spell wards I was thinking of lots of words that started with F and none of them were "fun".
My next big gripe has to do with the eye beams but since they are supposed to be fixed in the next patch I will reserve judgement till then.
In my opinion there needs to be 6 less optional orbs and they should ultimately be found along the random path to the end. Then remove the optional part because no one will be happy to finish the raid without a raid chest... then again I doubt to many people will be happy when they run the optional either.

I'm not ashamed to say we're doing it wrong then. How do we do it right? Is there a missing quest objective that isn't triggering? Some missing piece of dialogue? Would appreciate dispensing with the mystery considering the stupid amounts of time people are spending to complete the raid.

SPOILER WARNING
Ana has a hint in her dialog at the end of the raid that explains how to get more treasure out of it. I know, I know, I should've been more obvious. It's too subtle.
It's based on her remaining health.
The idea is that the fact of raid completion is not as important as group performance. It's supposed to give you a stretch goal.

~O We're caught by the traps
We can't run out
Because we need you so much Ana O~
~O Why can't you see
What you're doin' to me
When I can't understand a word you say? O~
~O So, if an old friend I know
Waves a leg hello
Would you still get lasered by her eyes? O~
~O Here we go again
I've fallen where I've been
You can't see these tears are real
I'm crying (Yes I'm crying) O~
~O But our quest will survive
We'll dry the tears from our eyes
Let's don't let a good thing die
When honey, you know
We'll try again
Mmm yeah, yeah O~

That depends on what you're doing.
If what you're doing is piking, then yes, you may consider stopping that.
If what you're doing is running the raid... well... you're doing it already, so the question is moot.
