A spell costing 15 more SP than it should is very obvious and very simple and nothing like the "complex mechanics" you claim and has nothing on the complexity of many of the mechanics in the game (some of the most complex of which they're ADDING this expansion.) The fact that you overlooked something so obvious is your problem, not a problem with the game.

For most of the time i played this game... undead auto-failed saves on healing spells. was bugfixed.

I bet this is just "simple" fix to make Lafaray Do'rret use less SP when healing your chars.

Seriously compared to other changes in the game this one is really minor and not worth raging over.
FvS do not have quicker spell casting.

Yea definetely and inexplicable illogical change.

Every metamagic that applies in pnp should apply in DDO. We have the choice of setting per spell metas now, so no spell points will be wasted due to design, only due to player error..

And this change wont prevent players from making mistakes, they will just make them in other ways.

Oh, at some point you'll pine for the days where you just felt a lack of love. Divine casters (like all casters) got nerfed extensively, just so people playing the game using auto-attack or click/hold mouse button (melee) could get their egos stroked.

If you are an intelligent person hoping to use that intelligence in this game, it would be wise to start making alternative plans.

I'm sure a lot of new players activate heighten not knowing it has an impact on heal.
Actually it has been the case for me for a while.

It's a nerf for a few select people that could use it to nuke undead. It's a buff for a lot of average divines that had no clue it would increase the SP cost when used to heal.

Les option is sometimes good when option doesn't really add anything = KISS.

I don't think they changed Cure spells...but they've already been that way for years on live. They should have made Cure spells Heighten-able in U11, not nerfed Heal now.

This would have been a decent change 3-4 years ago before we got the individual spell metamagic toggle.

    Now? Useless waste of time.
Also annoying when it comes to fights like Cholthulzz, Garamol, Dead Pykzyl, Sorjek etc.

Promoting the idea that people shouldn't inform themselves, and making it so that the people that do inform themselves aren't more efficient than the ones that don't, is somehow a good thing?

this change was most likely to happen to make sure undead stay challenging .... alternatively they can buff undead saves.

    ultimately it's a loss of 3 dc

Other than Healing Abbot as a raid. I have never cast heal on an undead...on purpose.

About the only time I can recall doing so was spamming Mass Heal while meleeing Garamol on my FvS. I otherwise can't ever recall casting any healing spell for the express purpose of damaging Undead. RS Burst, even, I used primarily to heal my party. Maybe during the brief period that I participated in Mabar, but I decided I didn't want to be banned for taking part in Turbine's events, so I stopped. Haven't taken part in one since.

The Abbot is pleased with this change, that's probably why.

probably not a bug. i stopped putting AP into crit heals because i regularly healed for 3-4k, 7k heals happened daily, and this is the game breaker - the first time i saw a 9,999 point heal, i said, "i do not need any more than the required AP in crit heals." its a little ridonculous.

now, i suppose i COULD empower my healing spells and use them for taking on undead, crank those heal crit enhancements again... but i dont know why ide bother with that. since usually all it takes to kill any undead is a turn. or at higher levels, maybe a web spell by an arcane. no point spending any real resources on undead.
