    Default The xpack need transportation

I love big wilderness and exploration. But that's for when I want to hike and explore. When I want to quest I kind of want to get there and get it done. If you wonder why there are so few running LoB and MA, well think about it - first a wilderness then another one just to get to a quest. Now think about the player; many like me don't have an abundance of time to actually quests. So the time we have we want to quest. Running in wilderness to get to quests is not questing; it's running between point A to point B and if most of the time consumed will be the travelling as suppose to the doing then most quests will become a once and done in order to get to what you want.

Please add some form of save area or transportation. If I want to run wilderness I will, but if I want to quest it feels like a punishment to be forced to run. If there's any reason to make people feel like they're wasting time then this is surely it.

I'd love to run MA and LoB more often; but I just don't like the almost an hour before you do the actual quest. It gets boring and one of the reasons why I don't like to run DQ - because it involves a boring flagging quest and time wasted first running there and then doing the flag (no matter how brief it is) just to do a quest.

You'd see a big differense in enthusiasm for quests if you make the actual wilderness romp a once and done.

Like with the transportation to Golan Fang or whatever that quest is named. The reason why most people don't run it is the borish wilderness followed by two pretty boring quests and a raid that is unrewarding and well, not that fun.

These quests seems fun, but I've spent countless hours just finding them and then when I do find them I'm running another wilderness to get to quests.

Maybe you do this so people ship buffs will run out and people need to start wasting time buffing again using resources (very tedious) but it's also a sure way to make players waste time.

My suggestion is simple; make the wilderness romp something you do once. To find and locate and then add a transporter type the guy before ToD so people can get there and do what they want and move on. Do it in the Kings forest and do it in underdark. Please let us remove the worst features because the last I want to do is to spend the first hour travelling, do a quest, run out of resources, go back, travel more etc.

That's not a win win for anyone.

I agree. One of the (now forgotten) sales pitches on the original box for this game was basically "don't spend your time running to quests, just quest!")

The mechanic used in the Shav I thought was perfect. You must initially find the stupid quest once in the middle of the explorer, but from then on you can just teleport to it. It's also a public area so the friend's bracelet lets you bypass that first run in exchange for Tubrine making some $.

I can't say for sure, but I think they are putting in portals here and there.

I agree, there should be some form of teleportation convenience after you complete something the first time, just like the ones we have now like on ToD.

    These new areas are HUGE!!

I think that is a very good thing, but not after you've run it 500 times and just want to get to the quest. Time can be a very important factor, especially in on-line games.

When I sit down to play, I already know in my mind.. "I have X minutes to play, what can I do in that amount of time?". (Usually in chunks of an hour, give or take.) The Master Artificer and Lord of the Blades are raids I'd really love to run, but most times I just don't have that kind of play time in a sitting. Please make it so that the new content isn't all like the aforementioned?

I promise to love and cherish it, and hug it, and squeeze it, and maybe even call it george!
