I received an in-game email today. It said (among other things):

'Dear Lenamen, ... (You have continued to gain favor with House Cannith and have unlocked the Artificer class!) ...'

I am overjoyed. =)

I was so excited too, when I unlocked it.

It's definitely the hardest thing to unlock in the game for free (Drow, vet1, 32pt, FvS, vet2 is much easier, you just need to have a lot of packs or be VIP).
