    Default +5 NA not stacking with chimeras crown

    I am using the Dark Knight build 18/2 (fighter) with the Sentinel Dragonmarks for the Epic Chimeras Fang and Epic Chimeras Crown.
    I have noticed that the +5 NA bonus from the Crown is not stacking with the new +5 from the stance.
    In your earlier post you mention that the should all stack.
    For me, I am not sure this is really going to matter as I am strongly considering going back to pure Paladin.
    I took the two Fighter levels for free tower shield feat (which should be free anyway on a feat starved toon) and to get the dragonmarks, but I dont see myself using those two items when I acquire the new gear.
    Also, now seeing how easy it is to break a thousand hp, Yugo Pots aren't as cool as they once were, and neither are toughness enhancements.
    I would rather invest my action points into things that will make my toon a better party member than try to go for 1300 hp, because let's face it, Paladins were getting it done with 800-950, why do they need 1300?
    My toon is not an ac bulid and I am currently at 110 standing with no buffs or clickies, and I don't get hit often.
    With the US providing so much more hp in stacks of 50, spending 4+ AP on 3rd and 4th tier Toughness Enhancements just seems silly.
    Am I wrong? Any Paladins out there with 1200+ hp currently dying? I know Im not, with my healing amp, self healing, and recharging LoH, I find myself healing other party members to provide assistance.
    I can run into a mob, drop intimidate and shield block, hit my LoH to help the entire party with a little suport and be just fine.
    Is this the new way of the Paladin?

    Save the crown and fang for farming out your other destinies. Was quite the painfull shock to lose all the goodies when I moved over to grandmaster of the flowers.

    What level is lay on hands based on? i got an old 12/6/2 build and the lay on hands seems to be the same as paladin, not being based on character level. Even if i buy the feat from US i dont get a different feat for US, so if Im not a pure paladin the LoH will be pretty low? Is there a way to make it work based on char level for a pally splash char?

    Nope, though I do wish the devs had at least made the purchasable LoH enhancement count character levels instead of paladin levels. It would have meant 4 regenerating LoH for good damage for non-paladins. Not too much, I think. As it stands, it looks completely worthless if you aren't a paladin, and mostly worthless if you don't have a lot of paladin levels.

    That said, on my pure paladin, it's amazing!

    Im using the light in the dark ability now instead of LoH, its affected by devotion, and hits me for about 500 when i swap in a devotion item.. have to do an enhancement reset do get at least paladin devotion 1 for even bigger heals. Feels a bit like radiant servant bursts.

    My LoH hits me for 588, while Light the Dark does somewhere around 430 I think, though I'm not wearing a Devotion item.

    The regenerating LoH has changed my playstyle a bit. Before, I was using Maximized, Quickened CSW to heal normally, and reserving LoH for emergencies. Now, I'm waiting until I drop to around 350-400 HP and then hitting a LoH, and using CSW here and there to top off, or when I'm taking a lot of incoming damage. It means I'm not as concerned as I was before about trying to fit a Devo item in somewhere, and I may drop Maximize eventually. May also swap Quicken back to Extend, but I'm not sure on that one yet.

    Can use LtD to back-up heal fairly effectively, and in content where incoming damage isn't too high, I think I could serve as the only healer if I max out my LoH/rest. The fact that I can gather up all the aggro, not take too much damage, and heal everyone in the party for a sizable chunk makes that strategy seem reasonable.

    Trying to figure out whether I can fit the 2nd and 3rd ranks of Endless Lay On Hands, and whether I can afford to pick up the third tier of Extra LoH for a total of 8/rest.

    It is still my belief that too many of these abilities in this tree cost 2 ap, and the arrows and pre-reqs @_@. Also an additional Tier 6 ability would be nice. Changing some of the 2 ap cost abilities to 1 and/or adding more 1 point abilites to help fill out the tree would be very welcome.

    I'm fine with the way things are priced, but feel that the weapon damage abilities need to be separated from the stances.

    I hadn't seen it mentioned, so I thought I'd mention it. The epic moment, Undying Vanguard, is impossible to activate. After acquiring 500 stacks, the ability simply tells you to go rest. After resting stacks are reset, once reacquired, same problem. Apparently the ability is initially usable, but with no charges and never acquires any. Had a friend with the same destiny do the same testing, same problem.

    No, it doesn't. I tried this yesterday.

    Just re-read through this whole thread after 2 weeks of playing US.

    Wow- all of the problems with unyielding sentinel were reported a couple of weeks before the expansion went live. And most of them were ignored. Not even the easy ones were fixed, like changing the text in a tool tip.

    What was the purpose of Lamannia again? To ignore the player base, apparently. This is very disappointing.

    Why is Legendary Shield Mastery getting nerfed? It's currently 9% Doublestrike (rank 3) but will be lowered to 7% with U14 patch 1.

    Is there any feedback to the hardened bug? its not stacking in any situation. Is there any requirment to use this? like needs a shield or you need to be wearing heavy armor?

    Because people wielding shields are so powerful???

    Nah, I bet the reason is that it is easier to get the numbers to stack properly since they aren't multiples of 3. Lots of other doublestrike is in multiples of 3 and I bet that confuses their code.

    This is post update 14.1

    I feel like the doublestrike police recently.

    Anyone see any effect of the doublestrike while using legendary shield mastery? The buff on the bar is gone now, as is mention of the doublestrike bonus in the combat log. The only thing to show that it might be working is that the tool tip on the epic destiny itself has been fixed. It is really difficult to test since I have doublestrike bonuses from feats, and I don't want to swap those out.

    Jut out of curiosity... Did anyone else take Undying Vanguard and not have it work?
    I've reached 500 stack, but keep getting the error "You have insufficient charges to perform this action" when I attempt to use it.

    Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with this epic destiny as a pure 20 pally. Endless Lay on Hands is great, even more so because it grants ANOTHER LoH. Endless Smiting is great for the same reason.

    Does "Block Energy" count towards blocking without a shield?
    Also, does "Shield Prowess" effect the Shield spell? The spell functions exactly as a small shield would and counts as a shield bonus, which is why I have to ask before considering it.

    Why does stand against the tide state "you gain 4 ADDITIONAL stacks" of the bonus, and yet the first, passive stack, does not provide immunity to knockdown via steadfast

    and why doesn't immunity to knockdown provide immunity to knockbacks from giants and such, its quite impossible to not move and get punted all at once.. think things through guys.. its getting old

    Giants' knock-back does not have a balance check, and so far, they have been consistent with immunity to knock-backs with that regard, at least with immunity from another source, I have not tested one from this destiny. They seem to making that a different mechanic. It's a weak difference, but that seems like a reason.
