    Default Human 12 kensei unarmed 6 monk ninja 2 ranger w/ UMD and manyshot

    So if i had another fighter life to bust out would think hard on testing this guy out. Nice selection of tactical feats + extremely beefy kensei DCs to back them. Decent spread of ranged feats but lacks IPS. Solid UMD score banking on decent start cha, completionist feat and gear layout.

    Fiddled with feats/enhancements a bit. So ended up with a tactical unarmed kensei with potent ranged capability, no fail heal scroll UMD, stealth skills and some limited tanking ability (not epic LoB worthy, but def elite tod worthy). Not a shabby setup

    Interesting.
    Thoughts:
    • Once U14 goes live I'd prefer light side which can save you a feat and a bunch of AP.
    • That's a big investment into ranged combat without Arcane Archer so you're missing 25 damage/hit (worth it?)
    • Character sheet says 3 fighter PL's but you said you needed another, typo?
    • If it's just for a fighter PL then why mention end game stuff?
    • If it's just for a fighter PL and won't be spending (much) time at cap I'd prefer a 7/6/7 build (like fighter/monk/rogue) as PS arrives too late to be useful and fighter 8-11 is pretty mediocre
    • I like Stunning Blow to have something for a second mob while Stunning Fist is on timer or if you miss Stunning Fist due to movement or freak saves

    ^ i dont have another fighter life to test this guy out. just an idea i had while scootin around in-game today thought id post it. Actually while it does list PLs i have (and some i dont, dont have 3x ranger or arti yet) I didnt list the +4 tomes I have ect. was just a more generic completionist endgame buildout.

    As far as ranged being worth it or not/ not 100% sure. Looks like it carries enough beef to make it worthwhile but honestly have never played a non-AA bow user. The last monk completionist build i played had paltry/zero ranged DPS option with its always uBaR +5 metalline flametouched star of improved destruction. Have had thornlord shard floating around bags for over a year now and a build like this would give me a reason to craft it.

    I originally posted build w/ stunning blow + 2 tiers of fighter enhancements and 1 less haste boost tier. I decided to junk it for imp crit ranged. Figured 53 was enough fist DC and extra haste boost beef and imp crit ranged would be more useful overall. Arguable either way ofc, but this route at least puts all the single target ranged feats on this toon (outside of weap spec/kensei obv)

    25 damage/shot is nothing to sneeze at, really not sure that the ranged investment is worth it without it. I think overall I like Arsont's Fad build better which might be worth comparing to.

    Read through that whole post, ya thats definitely a hot lookin ranged build...this would be more of a 90% melee DPS/tactic focus with 10% set aside to be able to plink things at range if need be type setup (but hopefully shored it up with enough feats that the plinking does in fact have some gusto). If i was able to test this build out (which i cant since im way to cheap to plunk down TPs for big +ed hearts to gain a different class PL) and i felt the ranged effort was not worthwhile the whole build idea would be scraped for either a AA/melee/tactic blend or a melee/tank/tactic blend that i have tested and found effective.
