    Default Launcher not working

Hi all, bought a new computer yesterday and downloaded the Hi-res version of DDO. Downloaded and installed without difficulty. When I launch it, you see the screen with the dragon and the stuff going in the upper left corner (eg opening main form) and then it goes to the next screen and downloads pre-req (eg splash screens). After that it gets to the screen with the Game update progress/status headings where you normally see Connect, Examining game data, etc underneath it. Unfortunately underneath my heading it is just blank. I see the launcher news at bottom fine and the adv on the left side. It freezes here and I can even close the launcher without going into task manager.

I have tried the troubleshoot options (eg firewall - I use Kaspersky, clean boot, re-installed .Net, etc) but still hasnt helped. Game works fine on my laptop and on the old computer. Running Windows 7 64 bit OS with 8 GB RAM. Have sent ticket in but never got confirmation email so not sure if received. Someone please help with ideas as really want to play it on my new computer. Thanks!

    Unhappy

I'm having this same issue right now, except it's on my laptop that I've used to play DDO for over 2 years. I just uninstall the Preview server files and now the real game won't launch.

I figured I would uninstall the preview server since I don't really want/need it now and its taking up space. So I had the "DDO unlimited (Preview)" folder and "DDO Lamannia Install files" folder on my desktop. (I have the actual game save in program files). I opened the "DDO Unlimited (Preview)" folder and clicked on "CleanUnistall" it said some file was missing, and then nothing happened. I don't know what could be missing, I didn't get rid of anything ever. So I scrolled down in the folder and saw this application "unins000", so I clicked that to see if it would work to uninstall the Preview sever stuff. A window opened that asked me if I was sure I wanted to remove DDO Unlimited (Preview) and it's components, so I clicked "yes". In a few seconds all the DDO Preview server files were deleted.

About an hour later I went to launch DDO to play. The launcher popped up and loaded (getting data centers, opening main forum, etc) and went to the next screen where updates are usually installed. It says briefly "Installing Pre-requisite software:" then goes to "Game Update Progress: Status" and that's all that happens. The launcher is just completely frozen and I can't click any buttons on it, can't move it, and can only close it from the task manager.

So I'm guessing I'll need to uninstall and re-install the game?

Here is an image of what the launcher is doing...

    Default

    I solved my problem.

First I turned my modem off, then waited a min. and turned it back on.
This moved the launcher to getting stuck at "getting data centers".
I turned the modem off and back on again, because my launcher was stuck there last week and that solved it.
Now the launcher was back to getting stuck at "Game update progress".
I went into the firewall setting and there were like 3 dnd clients, I deleted all but 1 of them and I checked it to let it through.
    This didn't seem to help.
I closed DDO launcher from the task manager then I went under processes and right-clicked "TurbineLauncher" and selected go to file location, then I closed TurbineLauncher.
Now I had my DDO folder open I right clicked "TurbineLauncher" in the folder and selected "open"
The Launcher started and a windows message popped up that asked me if I wanted to allow Turbine to make changes to the computer, blah, blah, I clicked OK and the launcher ran correctly.
