Please help with this.

In-Game support told me today… .

Oveik…tells you, 'In-game support is unable to reset, reverse, or move the stone of experience leveling bonus to another character, regardless of the circumstances.'

Who can I talk too? This Stone of Experience thing that you just added today broke my Toon and the fun I have playing with a group. Someone in-game did this me and now I have too much XP over the other people I play with.

I was traveling to the Inn in House K when a box popped up and I thought it was group request. When I hit “Yes” my inventory was over loaded. I did not know what happened. So I went to sell at the bar. I then saw in Chat that another Player was giving these things called “Stone of Experience” to everyone that was near the Inn. I did not see any stone so I destroyed the items since I could not sell them keeping three items that could be useful. I then thanked the person thinking he gave me a gift from a higher level player to a newbie. Maybe he was a GM in-game. I did not know.

That is when I noticed the Leveling Icon. I had 1,200,000 XP!

Again, I do NOT want this XP. I do not care about the “Stone of Experience” or what Toon may or may not have it as I now reading on these Forums. The term “ninja-stoned” is a good word used.

I need to be the same level I was before you added the “Stone of Experience”. We can delete the Toon then reset back a few hours or even a day if need. You can mark may account never to be able to use this “Stone of Experience”. You can copy this Toon to another slot so I can redo from 1st level. But something needs to be done!

This was not something I could read up on like the “Slice of Cake” where I got to pick what Items I wanted or save said cake. This was applied insanity. As stated it overflowed my Inventory without me opening anything.

Bottom-line I need to be what I was before a few hours ago. I will call support tomorrow after work. The Group that I have been playing with for the past 3 months now has less XP then I do and the balance we had is upset.

Lots of people are not even getting messages.

Server should be brought down for this. It's the worst harrassment issue I've seen since Limpchopper.

For a period nothing short of GM intervention removed Limbchopper from players. (This was removed about a fortnight after it was reported).

So if you made the mistake of going into a PvP pit, a griefer (or potentially even a non-griefer looking to play around with their shiny new very very rare weapon) could inflict your character with a persists-through-death, persists-through-logout -75% movement speed debuff.

In your case op you can just not level ahead of your group. Keep questing with your friends but only take a level when they do. It might annoy you to have to look at the blue bar the whole time but at least you've got the workaround available. It's an unfortunate waste of your accounts ability to use a stone though.

Yes I thought of that.. not leveling till they do. Two small issues though. Enhancement points will differ and I will not get the feeling of satisfaction after doing a long quest and seeing huge XP bonus. Hell I can even die, leave and reenter the quest without fear XP loss. That kind takes the fun out of it not having a death penalty.

Fingers crossed they can do something.

I handed my stones out in the harbour, advertising them in general chat and advice, every person I gave one to had the dialogue box. An insane number of people asked me for 1 who were outside the level range or who had already used one on a different toon. This suggests to me that these people did not pay any attention or even read what they were told either when they used it or in the general chat window.

Simple story - if you used one on the wrong toon because you couldn't be bothered to read all the messages - it is completely your own fault. All this ninja levelling talk is just people who didn't pay attention to what they were doing trying to undo their mistake.

While I agree is someone reads big box and clicks yes, its his fault, there's few bugs, like click no and get XP, get spammed with stones and get autoaccept, or box not popping.

The OP messed up, wasn't paying attention and clicked yes on the box.Why would you even accept a group invite if you weren't expecting one from a guildy? That isn't Turbines fault, nor is it some form of 'stealth' leveling. He actively clicked yes on a dialogue box that he didn't bother to read properly.

More to the point, in order to get those levels, he then had to go to a trainer and take each and every one of those levels, chosing feats and skills / spells each time. Until he did, he would have stayed at his original level. It simply isn't isn't a case of hitting the yes button and 'poof' you are 16. You have to go through a number of steps to get the levels. Aynone who claims that they were unwittingly poofed to level 16 is trying to undo their mistake at not reading the warning about it only being available 1 time per account.

In my case, to respond to your first point, I am a Crafter, I get Party invites all the time. I click on them because people find that easier to chat with then in /Tells. If the Click was wrong then I leave said Party Chat. This was different and messed up my Gaming Experience.

I am willing to NEVER have access to these silly Stones on any account and am willing to redo my whole Toon if the Company cannot do a simple reset / delete recover.

So don't level. I don't see a problem here. You're wringing your hands about a bunch of free levels that you have banked. Don't take them until you want to take them. Problem solved, right?

Wrong... Once you accept it.. You're locked in... So if you're at a bank clicking on thigns with multiple windows open and someone hit you with it.. Th econfirmation box pops BEHIND the other windows and yet stays active. It is very easy then to accept it without even seeing the window.

OP didn't know event existed.

When has their ever been a button in this game that pops up in front of you uninvited that dramatically and permanently changes your character with no hope of reversal.

Well considering the abundance of stones you could also have all your friends log in and get stoned too, thats another option.

It is an option, but not one I would like to do.

I agree, I clicked and did not read. But in my limited experience in this Game nothing ever did this type for permanent mess-up by clicking OK / Yes as these Stones are doing.

If you click a Tome, potion, re-spec, etc…wrong… . you are out what… the Platinum and have to get another? Hell you can even re-do FEATs, alignments, hair, class, etc…. if you screw-up. One of the reasons I wanted to play this Game, being new to it before I started, was that I could change my Toon to fit my play style later on.

This permanently messes with your Toon!

I see no way of going back without the Company resetting.

Help me out here, the more experienced / veteran Players… Can you think of / remember anything in-game that effects you like these Stones?
If so please tell me so I watch out for them in the future.

Plus, they are Stones… one would think they would appear in inventory, like everything else in-game that I have seen. Then allow you to decide to use said item?

I need to agree. Took me a few minutes of reading to realize what was up.

The fact that you can only benefit on one toon per account (still not sure of you can benefit once on each server - but idc, only use one server) should be in bold, in huge letters. Not buried in the third or fourth paragraph.

And this should have been publicized before it came out. Not everyone reads forums and not everyone reads fine print. And this is pretty important fine print...
Don't get me wrong, I think this is very cool and is the ONLY reason I will TR my second life to third. I HATE levels 8-16. This way I will jump from Phiarlen to GH. So many many cudo's (kudos? koodows? coodows?) to the Devs.

To mess someone up, or losing the chance to use it on third+ life becasue of a single click, is not acceptable and not nice.

I understand your pain OP. Don't listen to the "you should have read it more carefully" crowd. This is certainly harassment in my book. Anything offered to any player without them asking for it, is, in my book, harassment. But I fear you just need shake your head and move on.

Next, when I was starting this game a few months ago, I thought I read a warning that was something along the lines of “Make sure you level before applying ‘X’ something. Because if you do not then all extra XP past that levels starting point will be lost”. Is there something in-game that I could get, activate now, and it would remove all that stored up XP back to may base level?
